Premise 1: The only logical way to block a drain of that magnitude is to either be a wound in the force, or loop out of the force.
Premise 2: This technique according to all these books was known by the Fallanassi, who Yoda didn't encounter(unless you have proof)
Conclusion: Yoda had no logical way of blocking the drain.

hmm a force storm consumes whole planets, a force drain consumes whole planets. I suppose you forget that Nihilus doesn't use a drain but instead "eats" and "consumes" the force from others. Nor do you understand that it's not exactly a technique, but it's what Nihilus is. Wrong again, Nihilus would just "consume" Yoda. It doesn't matter if he moves quicker than the eye, any force sensitive in a certain radius would be consumed.
The only ones capable of defeating his drain would be a wound in the force or a fallanassi type technique, meaning Luke, Jacen, and Kyp.
