There are very extreme circumstances for the death penalty to ever be instituted. But it is not uncommon for the catholic church to be in favor for death as the ultimate means of justice. But only as a final means when all other forms have been exhausted.
Most Christians believe in a judgment day. I know Catholics do as this is what I was taught growing up. We are not supposed to judge one another. That's God's job, from what I've been told.
