rasengan vs. chidori (one-thousand birds)

Rasengan, Oddama Rasengan, Futon: Rasengan, and Futon: Rasenshuriken. Is there any other Rasengan-based technique besides these four?

well ya see the rasengan can be used by anyone naruto just has the chakra capacity to perform it multiple times. and the chidori is limited cause of their chakra, plus its a move where u need the ability to see pre movments. soooooo in power its rasengan but in a quick kill tech its chidori............. It is if you're hit in the heart, and you don't happen to have four others also keeping you alive or a demon that heals you're wounds living inside you.

I have seen... 3 people get hit by chidori and live.

Naruto, Gaara, and Akatsuki member? Besides Haku, who died, I can't really think of any other people. But Naruto heals, Gaara was changing to Shukaku at the time, and the Akatsuki member had other hearts and the Chidori was the last move to kill him. Course that was like what after hitting him in two other hearts, having his partner destroy another heart, and having the Wind Rasengan make him unable to move?

Now take some other ninja like Haku or Shikamaru or Chouji and then put them all in the same positions as Naruto, Gaara, the Akatsuki member. They wouldn't be surviving. Well maybe the Gaara situation because he didn't really hit Gaara with it.

Unlike rasengan, which will take you down no matter WHAT plot device you have...

I'd like to have seen how the new Rasengan would work on Hidan? Or at least I think his name's Hidan. The immortal guy.

The same way it works on everybody. It may not kill Hidan because of his powers, but he'll be completely paralyzed. Like when Shikamaru used Shadowbind on him, he'll be unable to move, only difference is that it'll probably be permenently...

How is Chidori the one hit wonder? Let's compare.

Chidori-

Fails miserably to kill anyone if they have any form of special abilities.

So far has only been shown to actually at the least DEFEAT one person, which is Haku.

Has a limit on it's uses before the user collapses from Chakara deprivation.

Rasengan-

May not kill, but takes out ANYTHING and EVERYTHING it's been used against, regardless of that persons special abilities. The Rasengan has NEVER failed upon successful delivery.

So far has not been shown to have a limit of uses.

I don't see how the Chidori is anything special. The Chidori is simply the equivalent to getting stabbed with a sword. The Rasengan is the equivalent of a stick of dynamite getting shoved into your gut, then detonating.

Um the Chidori is special because only people with Sharigan can use it right and the Sharigan is the ultimate thing and Sasuke uses it so it makes it automatically the best. While Rasengan can be used by anybody and it's Naruto's main attack and because it doesn't kill it's weak and useless.

And Kabuto didn't get up and keep fighting did he? Even though he he had regen. Naruto got up when he was hit with the Chidori though.

If he had been hit by chidori he could have healed from it.
