Research. You talking about it like it was important got me interested. Went on Wiki. Gai fights Silber in the finals. Ryo was sub boss. Gai was the hero of the series(He's cool enough to be a hero whereas Ryo ain't. "He was the hero of AOF!". Yeah & where's AOF now?). You know how SNK does it's heroes mane
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buriki_Onehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silber_%28Buriki_One%29http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silber_%28Buriki_One%29Show me where its said that Tendo was the one reaching the finals. Also, pay more attention:
"Sub-Boss
Ryo Sakazaki a.k.a. Mr. Karate The only character from Art of Fighting. (If chosen by the player in Story-Mode, Gai Tendo will be the Sub-Boss). He is listed as "Karate", though he still uses Kyokugenryu Karate."
Ryo`s sub boss is Tendo, not the other way around.
Btw, you should know. B1 is considered a sequel to AOF3 and it happens 20 years later.

I'd have to play the old games again to know. Still, that's a balance issue. Not story. Probably done for balance. Maybe it shows how fragile their opponents were back then.
Tell me, have you even played AOF. Ever?
Then dont make claims about what you dont know. Play first, its good fun.

'Cuz you're wrong again. What's Ash trying to steal from Ryo? Flame users are all important in the new storyline. Ryo? Hell to the Naw
The question was : who rules the show, whose does the story revolves around of. In that case: Ash.
