People are too sensitive for jokes, let alone, a simple comment.

What makes a joke funny is how it's said as opposed to what is said. A joke on the internet is only a tenth as funny as a joke you hear live or from a friend, etc. because you get the emotion and expression in their voices.

Good-natured jokes told without obvious hatred are always funny. Now when I say good-natured I mean jokes that aren't blatantly offensive or mean spirited. Something like What do you call a bunch of Puerto Ricans standing on the sidewalk in a line? A Spic-ket fence! That's funny.

The one that Symmetric Chaos quoted about the black guy with half a head is not funny. Its mean-spirited, about killing black people. What's funny about that. Making fun of stereotypes or a play on words like the picket fence are the idea behind bombs.

I was ignoring the the fact that the guy was black I just find the joke funny in and of itself (unless I completely missed something in the joke which is likely).

If you were half as smart as you think your topic question is, you'd quit waiting and start laughing at more racist and gay jokes. Everywhere something is going to be funny to someone.
Start listening to poets, old people and common phrases, "Live a little".

Racist jokes are never funny to me, but those aren't the same as jokes involving race. There's a difference.

Hmm... Has the PC trend gone too far? Perhaps. Race related jokes as Alpha Centauri said, are demonstrably different from *racist* jokes which are insensitive, and really shouldn't appeal to most people. I'm still wondering if the author of this thread is merely a bit confused on what a racist joke, and a race oriented joke are.

So a professional alligator wrestler is performing at a bar one night. Towards the end of his routine he says "For my last performance, I will insert my penis into the alligator's mouth." So he sticks his penis in the gator's gaping mouth and pulls it out without incidence. The drunken audience applauds. He then says "I will give five-hundred dollars to anyone who can do what I just did." At that moment, an obviously gay gay in the bar says "I will!! I'll do it!...but I'm not sure if I can open my mouth that wide."
