If Karen Armstrong is wrong, is Reza Aslan wrong as well? You're right though, I haven't read the Quran. That's why I rely on the experts in the feild. And it's not just one expert.
In regards to colonialization, it does have a direct effect on the level of fanatacism and the explosion of fundamentalism. It's not just in the middle east, but in Asia and India as well. That is undisputable.
And, as I said in my post, the Quran is likely filled with just as much second hand crap as is the bible. But, I also said that Mohammad was a general. I have no doubt he raised his sword. But that doesn't mean he called for it.
