I think he means that Islam and Christianity, in moderation, are not negative forces nor are they really at war with each other.

However, the Islamic Extremists and Far Right Christians, are certainly at war with each other, and probably will be for a very long time.

I think Christianity Vs Islam would be the wrong word, Jihad attacking every1 but Jihad is more likely the correct phrase.

The christians who abide by the rule "do unto others" wouldn't even dream of warring in any form.

I think it fits the glove. Christianity and Islam hae been at each other for a while now. Hell, just look at the Spaniards vs the Moors. 700 years of conflict that ended a year before Columbus went to America.
