Tis a good day for America

I see what you're getting at, Shaky, and I get your point. The only problem is, in today's world, people are too busy and have to take many things at face value. Unfortunately, politics is one of those things. Names are so important. If "Titanic" was called "Ship-Jumping Oafs" - even with the same storyline, it would have grossed millions less. And etcetera.

Okay, I'm going to step away from rationale thought and take a gander at reality. Let's be honest, folks, there are a lot of superficial voters out there. Sometimes people just see a sign, or a face, or flip a coin, and vote. I'd be willing to bet that at least a million voters will not vote for this guy based on his name alone. I'm not even talking about his race at all. The guy has a first name similar to a Mortal Kombat character and his last name is frighteningly close to the name of America's #1 enemy.

You can debate this and that and all that other political B.S., which is fine, but cold-hard reality tells me that there are a lot of voters out there who will judge the book by its cover, and this has in no way addressed the color of his skin. He has no chance.

Yes, his name is Barack Hussein Obama, but he is a fine politician and anyone who can't see past his name are probably voting Republican anyway.

Oh, Shit! I didn't even realize his middle name was Hussein! Take my original post and multiply it by 10,000!

Maybe we should get rid of the presidency.

I figured you'd react something like that 😬

ive always thought this a proper course. however instead of removing the third branch, change it to an executive branch with a few elected leaders. no system should ever have to trust just one man at any point.

No! The US actually has a chance to get this right since.....since....since Reagan?!

Heck, maybe even since JFK. 😬

Barack has the potential to go down as one of the all time greats. ...possesses too much intelligence, respect/esteem, swagger, and charisma not to.

That would work. We could divide the responsibilities and make important issue a majority vote.

I'm not saying I personally wouldn't vote for the guy, but the odds of a dude having that name......it sounds like something straight out of Saturday Night Live or some Leslie Nielson movie.

Like I said, the people who can't see past his skin color or his name are probably voting Republican anyway, and I personally think people like that don't deserve to vote.

I wouldn't vote for Obama Or Hillary Clinton...they're too uptight and conservative to be democrats, but i'd bet my bottom dollar that they'd still do a much fkn better job than Bush and Cheney

Conservative?!? eer

Hillary Clinton is one of the most liberal politicians ever

Obama isn't nearly as bad, but he isn't any Zell Millar, I'll tell you that much

For America at least

Hell she may as well be a socialist

Of course, 50% of the Democratic Party could fit into that role as well 😬

Actually, there is a Socialist in the Senate. Bernie Sanders. I love that guy, he's so silly 🙂

There are much more liberal politicians in the House of Representatives, but you have to be little more moderate to win a statewide election
