It's not xenophobia, it's just reality. Why the hell would I have an opinion on German government when I have no ability whatsoever to change it?
Actually, you could probably make a case that I have a much larger ability to change your government than you. Seeing how your government a) really doesn't give a **** about what its voters say b) has a country of 300 000 000 people and c) has to interact with other countries on the international stage where 1) comes in, 1) being Germany being one of the major players in international affairs followed by 2) my country actually listening to what its voters say and 3) it only having 80 000 000 people meaning my vote counts much more.

Yeah, so...really, I actually probably influence American politics more than you.

That being beside the point, this is a discussion about politics, not an election in a country, everyone's opinion here is of equal importance, only measured by evidence and facts.

Oh, and it is xenophobic.

Come on now, politics affect the whole world, especially the politics of countries like America.

Don't you think Saddam had the valid opinion of "oh shit" back in 2000?

Yeah, also lets just be honest, the last 8 years Osama Bin Laden had a million times more influence on American Politics than any voter. Strangelove is really just dismissive on the grounds that foreigners (relative to the United States) actually have valid points and he's not into debating well thought out arguments. Please, lets not kid ourselves, one vote counts **** all.

Not being an American citizen, your opinion doesn't matter.

I would change that to

"Not being an American voter, your opinion doesn't matter"

yeah, now its even more smug and silly

Then again, my opinion on German politics means shit.

Cus I can't vote over there....

So we'll call it even.

No, we don't. We don't call you saying one piece of ridiculous shit even, after topping it with another piece. That's the opposite of even actually...yes...it is uneven. 2 down, I'd say.

It's just wrong. Your opinion on German politics means **** all cause you have no idea about it, not because you can't vote.

"your opinion doesnt matter because __________" is worthy of bumping/updating the idiotic debating tactics thread. dont think i wont do it.

It makes me quite angry too. Knowing that I am better informed and more interested in American politics than a significant amount of eligible US voters and then have some yahoo come along and dismiss a valid opinion on idiotic grounds is frustrating.

Oh well, ...I was making a suggestion to Strangelove.

And you followed it up by stating that you do believe in it and even further extend it to any country. If it's not your opinion, fair enough, it would be a ****ing stupid one if it was, though.

Opinions are just that....opinions. Nothing more...

Fact is you can't vote in the US because you're not a US citizen.

Fact is I can't vote in Germany because I'm not a German citizen.

Clear enough or you'd like me to a draw a picture?

Can't be that hard...

right to vote does not equal right to an opinion in a forum of debate. my god why does this need clarification

Yes, what has voting to do with whether someone's opinion matters, as you and Strangelove put forth.

I'd like the picture to that one, please.

you hit the nail right on the head about Strangelove. He sure is not into debating well thought out arguments.Whe he cant counter points,he throws childish insults. I listed several books a few pages back that people here should read that prove Hillary is the worst possible candiate we can have to be president and instead of taking me up on the challenge to read those books,he just came back with his usual childish insults.

Neither are your bs temper tantrums.

Edit: I don't even think you took those from the same post...

You aren't interested in either.

You are just dismissive, fact is, I have never once seen you actually argue a point, you always leave when a debate comes up ...

Be that as it may, my opinion and the arguments put forth from it can change the choices of US citizens just as yours can. My opinion can be more or less valid than yours when measured up to fact. True, you have one vote more than me, one vote of what...100 000 000? Insignificant. So, yeah, my opinion matters, if strategically voiced much mores than yours as well. And your unintelligent xenophobic dismissal doesn't really speak well for the state of your opinions at all.
