Originally posted by SchecterIf we're looking at more recent months of political coverage, then I somewhat agree with you. The media has been tougher on Obama than it had been, probably tracking back to the point where he gained frontrunner status around mid-February to early-March; which is somewhat ironically the same point at which claims were laid against the general media that they were being soft on Obama.
first off, time magazine=the media? ive seen nothing but attacks on obama in mainstream media, calling him racist, liar, unpatriotic, radical, closet muslem, terrorist sypathiser, racist (i know i already said racist but how could you not lol at this). if i even saw half of the smearing toward hillary as i did for obama i would drop this, but its been ridiculously lopsided. thankfully it has toned down in recent weeks.
If we're talking about his rise to contender and frontrunner statuses, then I don't particularly agree; it's not a particular secret that the media had a bigger crush than Obama-girl on him, when he was the underdog, prior to Super Tuesday and prior to being called out for their lack of scrutiny.
One can look at the CMPA studies or the PEJ studies, which generally find predominant positive media coverage during his rise to frontrunner status. I think the CMPA studies find a still significant but lesser media advantage after February; while the PEJ studies state that positive/negative media coverage is now equal to that of Clinton having fallen from something along the lines of 80% positive.

So, who do you think it shoud be?
I'm behind a Clinton or Edwars ticket. Especially since neither of my candidates are in the race.
Originally posted by Devil KingI like the idea of an Obama/Clinton ticket (obviously), but Obama/Sebelius or Obama/Nunn are also very live possibilities that I could get excited about.

Well, Fox will spin anything Obama does as a negative. If he leaves the church they will say it took to long, if he doesn't they'll say that he should. Nothing he can do for people like that save maybe travel back through time and never join the church. You can't really take their opinion on it seriously. Most will probably see it as a good thing, and something that had to be done.
Before 9/11: Clinton, you are obcessed with Bin Laden, you need to work on other things.
After 9/11: Why didn't you do enough to stop Bin Laden?

Biden/Kucinich was always my hope, despite knowing they would lose, hopelessly.
