Bill has been in limbo basically his entire career, he is very underused.
Well Thor would have asked him to join Asgard if he was still around, I think that was planned. As I don't think they want to get rid of Beta Ray Bill from Omega Flight and with the hiatus for a possible on-going it's a great way to keep him in reserve.
A huge complaint from this mini is the treatement of Sasquatch where basically he is a punching bag for the entire mini.

Such as losing to the Wrecking Crew, who in OF #5 USAgent basically solo's them after their Tanaraq influence is gone. So Sasquatch can't do it, but USAgent can? Bull.
Wrecker who got charged by Tanaraq takes on Beta Ray Bill and even temporally knocks him out with the army, yet one good shot has Sasquatch on his knee? Bull. I'm not the only one who noticed that the Alpha Flight members were treated pretty poorly, while everyone else were the heroes of the book. Very annoyed with that.

I noticed that also. The only time Walter really got props was when he was possessed. USAgent and Arachne were pretty impressive, Sasquatch, not so much.
At least Talisman had a good showing.
No idea, and there was nothing to indicate that until she made that random comment about how she was weaker. She had a brain injury absorbing a universe ie. the void [Shaman's pouch] into her head during Alpha Flight vol.1, but she recovered from that.
I took it as a way to bring her down to current Strange's level as he was depowered too.

Hmm. But that still seems kinda off to me. With her they are acknowledging a depowerment (without even showing it) whereas with Strange it just happened and we all just realized it. Either way, I like limits on my magical characters so I'm not upset. Just curious as to where her depowerment came in.

and from what she showed even in omega Flight was still pretty high calibur stuff. So she must have been godly before her downgrade I guess. Yeah I understand the depowerment, but a reason would be nice. Also the explanation of how Tanaraq is in control of the Great Beasts would be nice.
