Oh come on. You stand and admonish him, then gobble up what he says. If he is actually ignorant as you claim, then you should know his is just as ignorant about the role of Islam in politics.

I dont even know what you're talking about now...Well its like this there is Politics in the Quran. If politics was a seperate issue in Islam there would be one book for Politics and one for religon.

But don't feel any need to question his blanket statements making use of such things, after all, one doesn't want to put those who support your stance of side, even if they have their history all muddled.

What do you think my stance is?

Alliance leave it there is no real point of arguing with him it goes in one ear comes out the other because his brain is blinded by his ignorance

Don't speak to me of Ignorance, everyone on KMC knows how stupid you are

Why ?

I had a bad week...give me a fkn break....I could never damage Buddhism's reputation the way Christianity's and Islam's reputations are already damaged.

As I've said. Everything wants to be political because it give religion the ability to tap into the legitimate use of force. Just because the Quran SAYS something does not mean it has to be followed. Plenty of muslim nations like Turkey and Indonesia do not have an integrated system of religion and politics. Islamic governments are only a problem in certain countries and the people of Turkey and Indonesia are no less Muslim because they lack an Islamic government.

Its called the rational application of faith. You take the good stuff, you leave the bad stuff. [/B][/QUOTE]

Namely comparison (especially in relation to Muslim nations that are exceptions), political theory, and comparative politics.

Misconception
Islam was spread by the sword and intolerant of other faiths.

Many social studies textbooks for students show the image of an Arab
horseman carrying a sword in one hand and the Quran in the other
conquering and forcibly converting. This, though, is not a correct
portrayal of history. Islam has always given respect and freedom of
religion to all faiths. The Quran says: "God forbids you not, with
regards to those who fight you not for [your] faith nor drive you out
of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them; for God
loveth those who are just. 60:8)

Freedom of religion is laid down in the Quran itself: "There is no
compulsion (or coercion) in the religion (Islam). The right
direction is distinctly clear from error". (2:256) Christian
missionary, T.W. Arnold had this opinion on his study of the question
of the spread of Islam: ".. of any organized attempt to force the
acceptance of Islam on the non-Muslim population, or of any
systematic persecution intended to stamp out the Christian religion,
we hear nothing. Had the caliphs chosen to adopt either course of
action, they might have swept away Christianity as easily as
Ferdinand and Isabella drove Islam out of Spain, or Louis XIV made
Protestanism ..."

It is a function of Islamic law to protect the privileged status of
minorities, and this is why non-Muslim places of worship have
flourished all over the Islamic world. History provides many
examples of Muslim tolerance towards other faiths: when the caliph
Omar entered Jerusalem in the year 634, Islam granted freedom of
worship to all religious communities in the city. Proclaiming to the
inhabitants that their lives, and property were safe, and that their
places of worship would never be taken from them, he asked the
Christian patriarch Sophronius to accompany him on a visit to all the
holy places. Islamic law also permits non-Muslim minorities to set up
their own courts, which implement family laws drawn up by the
minorities themselves. The life and property of all citizens in an
Islamic state are considered sacred whether the person is Muslim or
not.

Racism is not a part of Islam, the Quran speaks only of human equality
and how all peoples are equal in the sight of God. "O mankind! We
created you from a single soul, male and female, and made you into
nations and tribes, so that you may come to know one another. Truly,
the most honored of you in God's sight is the greatest of you in
piety. God is All-Knowing, All- Aware. (49:13)

In debunking the myth that Islam was "spread by the sword", the (non-Muslim) historian De Lacy O'Leary wrote:

"History makes it clear, however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever accepted." (Islam at the Crossroads, London, 1923, p. 8.)

Lil B earlier provided us with evidense, however, that Islam was in fact, spread by the sword.

Come on bro....Muhammed beheaded over 500 people. He married a 9 year old girl. He was just human.... a flawed human in fact.

lil b provided about 20 verses all out of context and meaning which i replied to

Muhammed (pbuh) himself never killed anyone in his whole life

the main reason the prophet married Aisha was because he could educate her and so she could teach other women

Look, it's fine, I don't care...

You can beleive whatever you want. What bothers me is not your beleif or Faith..what bothers me about you is your stubborn closed mindedness.

You think you know all there is to know, you beleive you know Absolute Truth and you don't realize how dangerous and foolish that truly is.

You are ignorant of so many things, it's not even funny. No, I am not insulting you, I am ignorant of many a thing as well, but at least I can admit it. You on the other hand think its justifiable to kill Gays and beat women if they do not submit to you. That's just sad.

I am done discussing the topic of Islam for now, because it goes no where. No matter how much info i provide you with, you will either deny it, or find some other biased sources that support your conclusion.

Just know....Ghazul Omid spoke up. There are many others like her. Islam will change...whether you like it or not. It's ALREADY changing....soon the acts of dismemberment, unreasonable execution, and sexism will no longer be an aspect of Islam (I'm sure you'll miss them).

When are those signs not in affect? I'm not trying to be an ass. I just want some clarity on that.

People throughout history have thought thier days were the end of the world...the "End of the World" started thousands of years ago, and will not happen for millenia to come.

I am flattered that you wish me to live in Peace. I wish the same for you. I also wish you the freedom of thought.....the freedom to question and think for yourself....

Im sorry, but what kind of sick logic is that?

Should all teachers marry 5 and 6 year olds in order to teach them? No.

Buddha didnt marry a 6 year old girls in order to teach them. He quite happily thought men and women without being married to them or having sex with them.

Why would anyone need to marry someone in order to teach them?

And why does your justification of pedophilia change.
First he married her because Allah said so. Then he married her for political reasons, and now he married her so he can teach her.
That sounds like nothing more than excuses.

Don't try to excuse pedophilia. If Allah exists and is all merciful he will not approve of child molestation.
Allah can exist without Muhammad you know....or can he?
