I like his work, I don't think its better then what priest did with black panther, or how Eric jerome dickey did storm, but its decent none the less.
If you don't like it, thats your view and you shouldn't look down on other for liking it. That is, after all, a form of prejudice.

I'd like to see more scans of the bad things Hudlin's doing if anyone has any. I've been fighting this fight without actually seeing any evidence besides hearsay.Also. If Storm is made submissive than that's probably the worst shame here since that's most of her appeal, at least to me.
🙁
She hasn't been made submissive at all, in fact, she was the one that talked T'challa into dooms and namor's request of leading an army of the "nations" in case America ever tried to spread the superhuman registration act to other countries.
But besides the few details we've talked about with doom, and a few other things, Im not sure what people are mad about.
All writers have mess ups, but none are receiving th backlash in which Hudlin is receiving.

I wonder, do people on this forum only read BP to find faults in Hudlins writing!?
I can see some dude on this forum now...
"Man, nothing wrong with BP 1-11, oh wait, here is a mess up in BP twelve, and 19, thats nothing like that character, I'll post this, I WINNNZZZZ!!!"
If I had the time to waste, I think I would go through some of our more popular writers, and I would still find faults in their characterization.
(wait no I wouldn't, I have better things to do)

I have many other things to do. Hudlin's writing is still hysterical.

I happen to care about my heritage, am I wrong for this, NO.
Is hudlin wrong for this, NO.
At the same time, am I defending him, NO.
Mcduffie said it best in his article, THERE WERE NO BLACK HEROS PERIOD BACK IN THOSE DAYS. People like me, who are proud to be black, yearning for a black superheros that dealt with racism and the other things some blacks deal with (yes racism still exist and for those of you who think it doesnt your kidding yourself).
THAT, is whats great about america, the fact that one can express his own personal views and beliefs, and not be wrong or right. Not be throw in prison nor have his head chopped off.
I read this thread in even though there are alot of views I do not agree with, its your guys views, and it makes me smile to live in, and defend a country were we all can express it.
You're right in a sense.
There weren't a lot of black heroes in the comic industry, however, that doesn't mean that characters should be created because they are black.
Do you think the Black Panther was created because Stan Lee and Jack Kirby wanted to make a black superhero? No, he was created to make a good story, and he was african. Its not as if they went out of their way to make him Black, it just made sense to make the character black, because he was african.
I don't have a problem with black heroes, i'm just saying, if you're going to create them, do it right.

I don't think it's a question of being submissive, she was submissive but Hudlin addressed that problem. It's more of a question for me anyway, when Storm has her monthly ill informed outburst:
I don't have it on me at the moment but there's a scan(BP #21) where Namor and T'Challa are discussing the war and then out of the blue she brings up Sue Richards.
My reaction: "WTF are you on about women"
The second incident occurred here which I do have a scan of:
The X-Men played Switzerland during Civil War which was a classy move by Marvel. It made sense, there was no right side. There still isn't a right side. For a change the mutants put themselves first and stayed clear of the whole mess.(Well the smart ones anyway)
The fact that Storm was unwilling to empathize with the X-Mens situation is just upsetting.(They have kids to worry about) She acted like her side was the only right side which was just ludicrous. Had they listened to Storm imagine the repercussions on the Xavier Institute.
There are more instances like the one of the previous page, in her case it's gotten to the point where she just says something for the sake of being assertive, regardless of how stupid and misinformed she sounds.
Found it:

Gotta love the look on Namor's face "WTF is this retard woman talking about? We weren't talking about Susan, were we? No...we were talking about stuff that affects the whole world and she starts spouting about love triangels."
The Storm that I used to be the fan of would never interrupt someone much more experienced and wiser then she is for a dumb reason like that.

Great, even more shit...i hate this... the only reason she's even with BP is because she's african... what, t'challa couldn't find someone else in all of marvel?
I have more:
*T'challa jumps over the fence to save a little girl*..
Storm: "Oh no T'challa!! Must resist urge to fire a bolt of lightning into a crowd of civilians and cause even more controversy over the SHRA."
He's the friggin Black Panther, have a little faith women.
