I don't get the racist parallels part

they show the white news reporter putting BP down, while the black one is the good guy...

"ooh, it's the media!!!"

once you mentioned it and I reread it, it was SO obvious.

at least the cop was a black guy.

Was anyone else reminded of the Hurricane Katrina news stories where pictures of white people stealing were captioned as "looking for supplies" and the black people stealing were called looters? ermmnone

Here are more, talk about flinging unnecessary bolts of lightning left right and centre.

Storm: "She's beneath us, yet I just fired a bolt of lightning in a shop."

Is someone going to stop Hudlin?

I wish Dave was still around, he'd kick his ass!!!!!!

storm would never, ever, evvvvvveeeeerrrr, mutter the words 'paris hilton'

That's not Storm.. it's a Stormbot. The one from the early 80s that Doom had. It never underwent maintenance, so the personality section's been ****ed up. A bad guy will asplode her head. Then the real Storm will be found amnesiac, having been eaten by a giant flower.

Better? 😖hifty:

You mean other than how her intelligence is portrayed?

I don't think it's a question of being submissive, she was submissive but Hudlin addressed that problem. It's more of a question for me anyway, when Storm has her monthly ill informed outburst:

I don't have it on me at the moment but there's a scan(BP #21) where Namor and T'Challa are discussing the war and then out of the blue she brings up Sue Richards.

My reaction: "WTF are you on about women"

The second incident occurred here which I do have a scan of:

The X-Men played Switzerland during Civil War which was a classy move by Marvel. It made sense, there was no right side. There still isn't a right side. For a change the mutants put themselves first and stayed clear of the whole mess.(Well the smart ones anyway)

The fact that Storm was unwilling to empathize with the X-Mens situation is just upsetting.(They have kids to worry about) She acted like her side was the only right side which was just ludicrous. Had they listened to Storm imagine the repercussions on the Xavier Institute.

There are more instances like the one of the previous page, in her case it's gotten to the point where she just says something for the sake of being assertive, regardless of how stupid and misinformed she sounds.

Good Storm:

Dumb Storm:

Gotta love the look on Namor's face "WTF is this retard woman talking about? We weren't talking about Susan, were we? No...we were talking about stuff that affects the whole world and she starts spouting about love triangels."

The Storm that I used to be the fan of would never interrupt someone much more experienced and wiser then she is for a dumb reason like that.

*T'challa jumps over the fence to save a little girl*..

Storm: "Oh no T'challa!! Must resist urge to fire a bolt of lightning into a crowd of civilians and cause even more controversy over the SHRA."

He's the friggin Black Panther, have a little faith women.

I think Hudlin needs to do a little research. The times Storm actually led the team, SHE ****ED UP. Storm is just a bad sub. Cyclops, Havok even Rogue did a better job then her.

and storm is a mutant first, she'd have never asked the others what she did in those panels...

Yeah and honestly I doubt she would really be so gun ho about actually siding in the war. What I could see is Storm asking BP to allow the refugees to live in Wakanda.

That "mob" are his fans. 😛

I'm still more shocked at Storms temperment.

Gotta love that scan 😆

It's pretty obvious Hudlin is trying to make the white reporter look like a douchebag and the black reporter look "hip"

But, if you read it, its hilarious how Hudlin actually makes the white reporter act like a real journalist and yet the "hip" Black Reporter is acting like some BET reject.

I mean he could at least attempt to use correct grammer

"Where the after party at?"

I'm pretty sure, i've met middle school student's with a better vocabulary than that

The context doesn't make it seem like a direct quote.

Reporter: The Minister of Health stated he "deeply regretted his transgressions."

Reporter: There's only one thought on the people's minds right now: "How did this get by the Intelligence Agencies?"
