It's the TFT's fault for making them feel that way.

You're the most ambitious.

Oh, and you seem to think that your club needs a thread for every idea they have.

And there are always people who dislike it.

Yours as in "the club you are a member of" not "the club you posess".

Statement stays.

You are completely and totally missing the point. Public domain is a legal term referring to things that can be used without worry of copyright infringement as the copyrights have expired on it, or it was never copyrighted.

And it's not discrimination. The person who made something and owns the copyright is the sole person allowed to decide what can and cannot be done with it. If he decided he only wanted it used on the official board then that's perfectly within his rights. If he decided that only people with blond hair between the age of 10 and 18 that can quack like a duck can use it, then that's his call.

That's how it goes.

DeviantArt, from what I make of it, gives the artists who use it free will to either make it public or make it privatised by copyrighting. However, it doesn't change the fact that the artists who do choose to copyright are still in danger of getting their work "stolen" from them.

It's kind of ironic, isn't it, showing off your work to whoever and wherever around the world and yet still snub by telling them not to use it.

It's like beating a dead horse, in my opinion. If someone does decide to use it for their own purposes, if the artist wants to make such a flappy deal about it, for three capital letters and a word in this case; then it's probably not worth putting on the internet in the first place.

No, in Canada we have a thing called the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. That's really all I have to say about it. If he singles me out, then that's unfair.

Not really. It includes me(though not for much longer), and I'd like to ruin it because of how incredibly stupid the idea is. ermm

I fail to see the irony in that.

Your club as a whole, no.

Showing it off and not wanting anyone to claim it as their own?

because you can get ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING off the internet why not a simple pic? if they have to have a hissy fit over something like that then why are they there in the first place?

If the artist did, then they would have gone through pains to make it more protected.

It's the internet, a lot of people ignore copyrighting sadly.

To show their artwork to other people and maybe get feedback.

Not for others to use it.

Not that I personally mind, just an objective analysis of the situation.

Also, that you can get most things off the Internet, doesn't make it legal, nor do the owners have to like or tolerate it.

im going now ive got school in the morning see you a**holes tomarrow afternoon
