So I guess now Gamespot just became too lenient with the 10?Or maybe this GTA is the BIG ONE.
Dunno, haven't played the game.
I was just saying that Gamespot has shown some very heavy implications of bias and questionable tactics when it comes to reviews and their policy and fairness.

It comes with a free month? Sweet, I don't feel like paying for Live at the moment 😛I'll be picking this up tomorrow morning when I'm at work. And then playing tomorrow afternoon and all day Wednesday.
My copy did.
I dont know if its a Canada thing, or US thing.
I've played for about 2 hours or so. Its not really anything to go by because I've only played for a few hours but I'm not seeing a perfect 10 here at the moment.
It's playing exactly like San Andreas (which is definitly not a bad thing). It's definitely improved when it comes down to atmosphere, fighting, driving (even though if you press up on the L stick, which I always do in racing games, the cameras shoots to the bumper) and overall, but I'm not seeing the game that IGN has stated, "best game since Zelda 64).
But then again, I've only gotten into 2 hours of the game and a few missions.
I played about 2 hours, Im really liking it. Its starts off kinda slow, but since I still have about 40 hours to go, im sure it will pick up. I like the cover and the new combat, just the control scheme will take some getting used to. Its nearly 3, so im heading to bed, but I have a full day of playing tomorrow. 😄

Mind giving a quick example? I actually agree but I wonder what specifically you are thinking of.
Also, online forums are flooded with topics about freezing on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions

Biggest most obvious example is the whole thing that happened with Gerstmann, got fired over mysterious circumstances; many others in the industry think it was primarily because of a negative review he gave to a game that had a lot of advertising put into gamespot at the time.
Also backing up the idea that Gamespot has some problems is that much of the editorial team decided to leave at around the same time, some of the ex employees have come out and said that they weren't happy with how things were being run.
Really? Freezing copies? That sucks. Seems every big game these days has some major problems upon release.
I read (IGN?) theres no flamethrower, chaingun or chainsaw to keep the weapons related to the city (whatever they mean by that....cant see how a guy cant pick up a chainsaw and go on a homicidal rampage), are there any stand out cool weapons, besides the RPG? Any swords or any unconventional weapons like the previous games?
And how sensitive are cops, like if you walk past a cop holding a gun do they chase you or do you have to fire it first? If you pick someone off 500m away with a sniper rifle do the cops pin you straight away or does there have to be witnesses nearby?
