it more of a reflex feats and mostly due to Logan not know punisher was punisher and thinking him some barly trained poacher.
Logan has also beating punisher around before while toying with him........

Punisher came for wolverine and was clearly trying...........Logan was toying with him and could have killed punisher in the first pannel of action.............
there was nothing in the issue that suggested punisher was not trying and even further shows he was trying was the fact he purposesly came for wolverine.
