Hell nah. And that's the main problem. DOTNG and Countdown seem to be running on parallel timelines, but the events don't correlate.

Isnt Darkseid supposed to be the main villain on Final Crisis? If so, whats the point of "killing" him in this isuue?

Probably so he can be reborn, more powerful and free from the taint of Countdown. Whatever Morrison/Johns have planned, I trust it a lot more than anything we've seen so far.

Yes indeed. He needs this rebirth. I really felt they were going to make Ds stomp Supes and it was even steven so this rebirth so to speak makes sense. He will be more powerful than ever.

Anyone else hope Ds's appearance remains the same.

Darkseid has always looked very cool. I just hope if the do change it it also looks very cool. I dont like when they dramatically change characters that looked cool in the first place.

Well didnt that happen in kingdom come.

Most of the posters on here guess wrong as to what will happen next and I am sure no one guessed Orion shows up in issue 2 and kills Darkseid.
