Its definitely different. But I am backing up Ds a lot these days. I think it would be downright stupid to have Supes beat him or to for ds to need Marys help in dealing with him.

I notice when Superman jumps him from the front in full view, Darkseid knocks him back on his ass, as seen in series like Cosmic Odyssey.
And Thanos got skewered by Drax just because he was specifically created by Kronos to kill him, and finally succeeded.

What a crazy thing to get upset about. Superman sucker punching Darkseid doesn't make Superman look any better nor does it make Darkseid look any worse. That's why it's called a sucker punch.
Furthermore, getting upset everytime Kal doesn't take a beating got old a long time ago. Surfer, Thor, Sentry, Hal, Majestic etc don't lose very often either. That's why we consider them top shelf heroes.

Please realize that you're getting bent out of shape about a 5 page preview where pretty much nothing happens as is typical of Countdown.
As Mungi pointed out, Darkseid is fighting Jimmy Olsen in the issue after this so he probably isn't losing to Kal. Even if he does, so what? It's not jobbing when the two characters are stated to be physical equals. Not only that but Darkseid is about to get an entire event devoted to stroking his character. Now is not the time to complain about that crap.

Honestly? Mary is going to interveen and do something to Superman. Unless Olsen takes her out, and then DS takes out Superman so those two can clash
