Superman and DS were portrayed dead even just as I predicted. Of course, people will still whine.

And this issue wasn't half bad.

But then again, Darky's objective wasn't a prolonged battle with Supes anyway.

Yes it was going back and forth and they were pretty much even.

I cant believe Ds doesnt have the edge when he uses his omega powers.

They should have had Ds obliterate him but they didnt.

Well....I guess when the fifth world does come about Ds will get that upgrade that he needs.

Seid didn't really seem to be hurt, but I would've liked to seen him get another punch or two in there. Good issue overall. The next one looks to be good as well.

Mary did look pretty good in this issue. I am relieved that they didnt have Marvel rushing to Ds's aid.

When Darkseid had that line about him being surprised that the whole league wasnt there I really felt he was going to really hand Supes his ass.

I hope so.

Dc tend to be so in love with Supes though I have a feeling after the fight(with Olsen) things will change. When Ds beats him and acquires these energies he will definitely upgrade.

He better be, or DS's supposed upgrade will be pretty weak. Adding Superman-level power is great and all, but for a person who's supposed to be instigating Final Crisis, I expect more.

Maybe but Superman has been written like a total badass throughout this whole deal with the New Gods. I just don't think it'd be fair to write him off unless DS and Jimmy throw down on the same type of scale that Monarch and Prime did. City busting isn't going to cut it.

question, i dont know if this was already addressed, but superman mentioned that ds had the new gods hunted down...

does that imply that ds manipulated the source to send infinity man out to kill the new gods?

He was knocked out during the Source's convo with Scott and Metron. Superman doesn't technically know the Source is involved. He's just confused and thinks Darkseid is the culprit of all the deaths.
