Okay.

Lets have a Star Wars game A. Here you will play a character, who can do everything Obi1 could do in the prequel trilogy.

The game is good and sells well. Now we make a new game. B.
The main character is three times as powerful as kenobi ever was. He even puts Yoda to shame. Game sells well and all is good.

If they were to make a game C, would it sell well if the force powers were anything less than seen in a previous ones?

After being able to throw massive stuff around and fill entire rooms with Force lightning, many people might find anything less to be "boring".

Sooner or later people might start to rationalize that the characters seen in movies are horribly weak when compared to games.

Where is the cap? How powerful can a Jedi be? If these games give us ever more powerful characters to play with, is the force going to suffer inflation?

In the 80's Luke's saber-telekinesis and Vader's strangle were great.
These days the awe is around acrobatics.

I just feel like the Force was more valuable back then than it is now.

There is no limit to a Jedi's or Siths power. As said before, the only limitation is your mind.

Then why didn't any of the powerhouses throw planets and stars at one another?

Your potential limits your power hence darth vader could never become more powerful than sidious.

Umm.. because they couldn't? Just because there is no limit to your power doesn't mean everyones (or anyones) power has or will ever be limitless. So, the "Powerhouses" still were limited, that's why.

Your potential doesn't mean a thing. The force comes to you easier if you have much potential, true, which leads you to not appreciate the Force that much, and in turn the Force doesn't appreciate you much. If you learn it the hard way, you'll learn to appreciate the Force, and vice versa. Vader could have become more powerful than Sidious. Anyone could. But just because they COULD doesn't mean they WILL.

I expected better than this.

Read above. It's not even worth debating against this type of argument.

If you learn it the hard way, you'll learn to appreciate the Force, and vice versa. Vader could have become more powerful than Sidious.

Just because you have a higher potential it doesn't mean you don't work as hard as the others...

True, Vader could have become more powerful than Sidious had he not been owned by lava.

Anyone could. But just because they COULD doesn't mean they WILL

I never thought anyone could fall so far.

Yep, when you lose an argument, resort to name calling and "omg thats not truu but i wil notz pruv it xD"

Cool sig Alliance!

LOL, so I'm the one who hasn't proven anything? And I mean what I say, think what you think, It's actually not worth it and that's why I won't bother. Come to me when you provide sufficient evidence to substantiate your claims, because you're the one who has not proved a thing.

Ummm.. proof to substantiate what claims? Tell me what you think the case is and I will provide proof

i strongly disagree with this. Lucas made it clear what actually matters: the midiclorians. that, unfortunately, is canon. Jedi who studied the force all of their lives in the PT were not nearly as powerful as Anakin, who had 10 years of training. Anything actually could be moved with the force, this is true, but as it shows in Darksaber, Dorsk 81 died because he channeled too much of the force. The ability from the force is there, but the capacitance of humans, or other species just isn't great enough to move planets.

Where has Lucas stated that what actually matters are midichlorians?

He doesn't need to state it, because it's quite obvious.

well, they said in the movie, that anakin was the chosen one based on his midiclorian count, and it was insinuated that yoda had the second highest count. which is stupid. i hate the whole "midiclorian" crap. but it is in there. it was even revisted in ROTS, so its there. Not everyone has the same ability to manipulate the force. thats just a fact.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then.

i can do that actually. (8

Well, it seems like the technology in the game will be great. I guess my concerns are more concerning shallowness of gameplay and length.

Mygeeto, Felucia, Raxus Prime, nice to see them getting some attention.

My question is, if you are Vaders apprentice, why do you spend your time kicking the sh*t out of stormies.

I have been wondering the same thing.
I can see it now...
"Leave the plastic-boys alone!"
-Possibly Lord Vader to his secret apprentice

Supposedly it's because there are never supposed to be any witnesses. The Emperor doesn't know you exist, and Vader would like to keep it that way. A man who can bring down Star Destroyers with the force would probably catch the attention of a Stormtrooper, would would tell his superior, who would in turn tell his superior. Sids would find out eventually.

Aside from that... I honestly don't see any relvent reason to bring down a Star Destroyers worth of people.

Which is why we wait until the game comes out. Or for canon reference, the novel and comic.

That said, Blackman has made some ridiculous decisions *cough*SWG*cough*, so I wouldn't put this one past him.

Hey, smartass, No one was asking you! *shakes fist in a crochety old man way*

*drops Star Destroyer on Blax's head*

i think it will be ok
first of all it was better if they only release it for X360, PS3 and maybe PC; there are too many platforms and it's hard to make it without bugs, the graphics, gameplay etc.
secondly in TFU experience video between 00:49-00:52 you can see a lot of lights (blue, red, yellow) after he force repulse... it's not realistic
after i don't like the way he runs and then stop suddenly without inertia... again it doesn't make it realistic
for now these are the only things i'm against but we'll see at the final release
i hope it will not be a failure like assassin's creed though it's a nice experience to play it
