Oh yes, just thought of something. When we start to talk about the plot can we keep the spoiler tags for a while? I have heard that the sci-fi twist will be revealed at the very beginning of the game, but I don't want it spoiled.
What is the normal policy for newly released games and spoilers? How old must a game be before spoilers are no longer needed for talk about plot?
EDIT: Found out that gametrailers added an Assassin's Creed launch section, with lots of videoes and interviews: http://www.gametrailers.com/assassinscreedlaunch.php

Ooohhh!!!!
Yeah, I think I kind of have an idea, a faint one, but an idea nonetheless as to what the big twist may be in the very beginning and some background on what's really going on.
The guy in the review said he didn't want to spoil it, but perhaps he said a little too much anyway, b/c I wouldn't even be thinking what I'm thinking if he hadn't said anything.
uhuh
Too what extent this idea of mine takes place in the game, I'm not sure, but here's hoping it's a big piece of the puzzle.

It's not virtual reality per se.Spoiler:
The near-future character is in a lab where they are unlocking his "genetic memory," as Altair was his distant ancestor. So Altair's bit is the main story, and the lab bit is a secondary story of how we're getting the main story.
That sounds right.
