Seems you either love it or "meh" it. ermm

I know I'll love it no matter the reviews. It's Prince of Persia on crack, and PoP is one of my favorite series.

Same here.

It's more like PoP on stealth not crack. 😛

PoP has quite a lot of stealth in it 😛

It did? I only was into Sands of Time (which is one of my all time favorites)

Sands of Time was superb, but I think The Two Thrones was superior. And T2T was the one with stealth. To the point that it's possible to Stealth Kill more than twice the amount of enemies that you've fought in a playthrough.

Quietly ignoring Warrior Within...

I actually liked...no loved the whole "TIME TRAVELING/PARADOX" storyline of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

I'm a whore for that kind of stuff. That made.....saved....the game for me.

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

I'm on my way to getting the game. 😊

Oh, no no no. Got me all wrong. The time travel was great, and the story, in all fairness, was pretty good. The entire game, including the puzzles and the fighting, was a big step up from Sands. It's just that the Prince's attitude change, while completely justified by the years of running from the Dahaka, ruined the game for me. Also the change of soundtrack and the decidedly "immaturely-mature" turn of gratuitous violence and skimpy outfits.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, just bad compared to the other two. Which, considering the quality of Sands and Thrones, is not that bad.

Most of the low score reviews make referrences to repetitive gameplay. Okay, so by that logic FPS should not get high scores...because you're repeating the same thing....shooting at things.

Completely different things.

I havnt played Assassins Creed but from the reviews, the one "minor" complaint most places had was the repetitive nature of the game.

Each city looks identical. Each target requires you to get to a viewing position, find the info, kill the guy and leave. I think the biggest thing was that they wanted some change in the overall structure.

Most good FPS add different elements to the game, while from the reviews of Assassins Creed, the first level is pretty much the same as the last.

Again, I havnt played it so I dont really know, but most sites gave it very good reviews and the repetitive nature is more of an minor thing.

I'm probalby going to get this tomorrow when I get Mario, then Mass Effect next week and I'll be set for awhile until I get a new computer and play Crysis.

If the cities look identical, wouldn't that be because the actual cities looked identical? I mean, one of the main goals was to portray the Holy Land as it was in the 12th century.

True.

I dont think I'm going to mind it but I guess the reviewers thought they could change it up a tad bit.

Having identical cities can get repetitive, even if the cities in real life are very similiar.

should i get this game? because im having mixed feelings with all the different reviews, from gamepro and other's near perfect to perfect "lives up to all the hype" score to ign and others "repetitive, falls short, rent it once" score

Each city looks identical.

Where did you hear that?
I never heard that in any of the reviews, and by judging from the concept art the three cities should be quite different.

Most reviews say that each is roughly the same.

The buildings are different, the people in the city are different but the all have the same look.

Can you provide a source for that?
I have read almost all reviews and seen two video reviews, and I never heard that.

And what is left in a city to be the same if the buildings and people are different?

I believe I remember the IGN review saying that, or maybe the Gametrailers review.

I believe IGN said that, they said that the people and buildings were different in all the cities, but there is no difference in actual gameplay dependiing on the city.

Today's the ship date for it, most places will not have it until tomorrow.

You're right. I called Gamestop and they said the same thing. So i'll just pick it up this afternoon.

I'm gonna trade in Halo3 and use it's credit to get A.C. I'm just not into Halo3 anymore. Perhaps at some other time i'll get into it..

But i know they're gonna want like 25 bucks for it or something. I might put it on craigs list now and sell it for like 40-45 bucks. And tell the seller to meet me near my job.

yeah i know, eb is bullshit. they sell you a game gor 75 bucks then a week later'll only pay 25 for the exact same game then turn around and sell it for 50.

Eh, what are you gonna do..it's business i guess.

But i just came back from gamestop and got $35 for Halo3 plus 10% on my card so. And they said they had A.C. in the store but not out the boxes. w/e

I'll just go pick it up after work at 5:30
