While I agree that its not concrete proof, its clear (to me at least) that these lords of Chaos and Order were actually AFRAID of Darkseid.
Now, he didn't defeat them in a fight or anything, but these are very cosmicly tuned beings, so I'm quite sure that they would know exactly how powerful he is, in comparison to their power.
Keep in mind, Nabu is a Lord of Order.

Odin would almost assuredly destroy Darkseid, just as he did Thanos.
He has many feats that Darkseid doesn't, not the least of which being the destruction of GALAXIES in his battle with an elder god.
Its really not even a contest, unless you are specifically talking about the Darkseid from the Great Darkness Saga.

Orion is made to kill DS and Superman is protected by the source. Odin also stated to all of asgard that it was beyond thier reconning to beat DS. So you tell me.

The second scan Spectre wasn't hurt, and even if he was it's not a big deal. Especially considering Shazaam fought Spectre and did fairly well.
Highfather being a match for Odin is speculation, and that was only a single page of the fight.

Yes, Orion used his Astro Force a powerful weapon in its own right to deflect the beams, but that doesn't change the fact we have an idea of how powerful the Astro Force and it isn't some unbeatable energy source. Since it was never mentioned that there were special circumstances (in regards to only Orion being able to kill Darkseid), there is no reason to think that had an effect here.
And Superman has been beaten plenty of times. Source wasn't protecting him there, eh?

The New Gods' continuity has changed a little bit here and there, though. And while they weren't effected by Crisis, they WERE effected by Zero Hour.
And regardless of whether that Darkseid is different from the current Darkseid, what I'm saying is that its just one showing for the character.
Kind of how Virtue and Vice was just one showing for Despero, but he has had other, lower showings (like being beaten around by Aquaman). V&V still counts, but its not necessarily the level he operates all the time.
Same with Darkseid and GDS. Most of the time, he isn't shown to be that powerful.

Actually DS has hurt the AM and absorbed the power of all those pantheons he killed. ANd as for the Astro force, you are incorrect, the astro force is the exact oppostie of the OE. THey are flip sides of the same coin.

DS Stopped the power of The God Wave, He also Hurt The AM, and has Hurt Imperiex, He has destroyed Galaxies and Planets with his mere presence, and even was able to heal the source along with High father. When ODin can heal half the power of the Heart of the Universe, let me know. I'm not impressed with Odin. He's not any more powerful than DS. SOrry buddy.

Well, Shazam was using the magical artifacts of his realm to help him out.
The only thing that being on Apokolips did for Hal Spectre was make him murderously angry (more of an advantage than a disadvantage, I think).

Agreed here...I don't see any evidence that Highfather is as powerful as Odin. He's had some impressive showings, undoubtedly, as what he did in GDS or the way he undoes what Darkseid does, or his casual dismissal of near-top tiers, etc.
