USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 THIRD ASSIGNMENT- 'The Fortress'

Ok, so, I want everyone to be comfortable imagining the situation.

You are all near the front part of the Great Hall. I am going to split that into five imaginary 'rows' from north to south. The rows are:

Throne (where you are)

North Columns

Centre Columns

South Columns

Doorway

We then have a West, Middle and East version of each. The doorway itself is in the Middle

Which locations are adjacent should be obvious, and one set of movement will get you between it.

Just to give you a little flexibility, each of you can state whether you are west, middle or east.

Melkor should be in the Middle, since he was pretty occupied with talking to the King.

How are Captains reacting? Dallas was telling us to get to the Doorway, what about Marduk?

Ares remained at the back of the crew, so he is most likely at the South Columns, Middle.

I think we are all at the Throne row, right?

Indeed so.

Oh, duh!

West for Ares, then.

Cloud will take East.

I like the idea of pairing gunners with fighters, myself, and then spreading the remaining people out among the groups.

So San shall go west.

Or..
we could all group up and go in one row.. SO we don't all die.

How well do things ever go when we all bunch together?

Usually not very. Though I'm not entirely sure just how large this place is or if we'd be able to move easily through a single row with all these stupid spiderbots. Plus it's hard to shoot stuff in a crowded melee situation (which would definitely happen if we all stuck together).

Not to mention that as this is Ush, we'd probably end up surrounded.

Hawk will go East.

Slowly sliding the Tachis from their sheaths upon his back, Barb looks to the King.

"So you will neither fight us, nor aid us?" He Rumbles.

"In either event, as an Entity in which to talk. And a Commander, I respect you. However, as an enemy. I hope you follow a similar fate as that of my Namesake."

He grins, and flexing his immense arms, Flicks out his Swords at the Approaching hoard.

He will be going East.

Okay, been trying to work out splits based off of what people have stated already, and attempting to keep groups evenly matched.

West we have San and Ares so far; Middle is Melkor, and East has Cloud, Hawk, and Barb.

So, the rest should split something like this -

Klez and Burn - one of you should go east, the other in the middle. Melis and Heph should go middle; Berserker west; between Azreal and Mirage one should go to the west and one to the middle. Fire, Mors, and Balder should each go a different way; and then Sirin and Helios should split up and one go east, one go west.

Hopefully that makes sense, and hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone and thus will need to re-shuffle.

We don't really know how these things are going to fight or anything, so can't really plan much there. Just keeping plans simple and saying that gunners should try and hold the sentinels off while melee people clear a path through...and that we need to get out of here as quickly as possible.

I'll go middle then.

If the two First Officers are happy with things I shall proceed.

I guess Berserker is west according to the Lana plan.

Berserker cracks his neck. His body tenses ready to explode into combat. His eyes began to glare in front of him. Berserker was like a mini Volcano and all he needed was the word and all Hell would break loose.

I'll go east.

Helios will choose west.

I'll just list where everyone should be, then...

West: Ares, San, Azrael, Berserker, Mors, Helios

Middle: Melkor, Melis, Heph, Mirage, Fire, Burn

East: Sirin, Klez, Balder, Cloud, Hawk, Barb

I think that's everyone. And then, of course, wherever the Captains are standing.

I have a feeling Dallas will just rush straight down the middle with his shotgun...

Anyway, looks good to me, that split-up is pretty much exactly how I listed it out when trying to balance groups and stuff.
