USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 THIRD ASSIGNMENT- 'The Fortress'

Started by Brit66 pages

Eh, Melkor? You can't refresh CC, you didn't swap it out...unless youc an untap one that's already in?

Indeed, Heph will punch out a Sentinel as he moves out of North Columns West to North Columns Middle...

Klez would like to refresh CC, as he was supposed to have swapped it out during the fourth turn...?

If I can refresh it, then Klez will swap BGB for CC (since I thought BGB was in...) and fire at two Sentinels in Center Columns Middle to aid Dallas & co.

If I can't, then I'll just fire at one with BGB...

-

Klez, protected by his compatriots, sets off a volley at a Sentinel (or two) in Center Columns Middle.

Melis can't pick targets, correct? She'll clunk her spear into whatever Sentinel is within reach, hopefully a very damaged one...

I'm away for the next week, Ush. If I can leave a stock action, it's to shoot on an unwounded sentinal in the same area, or, if that's not possible, a wounded one.

If there aren't any in the same area, Azrael will shoot at one to the South of him.

Sorry!

Hmm, this refreshing stuff isn`t clearly stated in the Main Rules, is it, I thought I can refresh tapped powers.... I confess to not paying enough attention to Matrix combat rules..... in this case I can swap CC for BT, and use EE against the Sentinels. Thanks Brit!

We have another drawn initiative roll... which means it swaps again.

Mors protects himself with an LA tap. But you can't refresh KW, Mors, it's still loaded. I'd actually unloaded it when you used it the second time on the grounds you definitely would and I would read what to swap for it later. That never happened, but that just means you likely won't get it again this fight.

This time the spiders break through to the Percy circle of defenders and take a harsh toll on the fighters there. Berserker is certainly stretching it, with no decent defence.

Ares is down; Sirin and Heph get bitten at.

Centre Middle- Burn and Melkor are nearly down; Fire is still living a charmed life. Defensively, anyway.

Ok, your turn.

Mors, three successes says you are out!

Hawk, you have appeared to decline to Refresh? Chance has gone now.

Cloud- I can't really understand the first part of your question, but as to the rest, there is no point at which you could combine those taps, no, because you would only be armed with one of the right type of weapon during the turn. Meanwhile I banked your action.

Melkor- not having properly read the rules is no longer an excuse; everyone else seemed to get by. Meanwhile, generally you can only refresh powrs you have swapped out, but being a Natural All-Rounder you have a very great Refresh capacity, as you will see clearly noted in the rules. It's been entirely a waste of your time not to use your powers much MUCH more- Healthy Tiger, for example. Now the Refresh has come you have kinda missed the point of being a Natural, not having used much. Talking of which... BT in and HT out? Are you SURE?

Fire- maybe I was just amazed you had swapped out probably the most useful power on the field at this point? You can tap HT many times, btw- you were attacked five times this turn. Anyway, you got your six successes this turn! You nearly kill one with your HT tap too.

Heph, I am going to assume you are carrying Ares (though as ever, people, PLEASE have a contingency for the bad guys winning initiative?); that gives -2 to your pool. You still get a kill though.

Melis- still no joy! And indeed, they are attacking with the strongest ones to the fore.

Card- 10H

"Around! Go around!" yells Dallas at those by him. he himself is hopelessly entangled.

Mors- you know that "Out of the frying pan..." expression?

I'll attack the one I wounded with my HT tap.
I'll tap HT again (if I can I'd like to tap BS on that 'counter' attack and then swap it for SS)

Ignoring Dallas?

Unfortunately...

Mors will attempt to move to North Columns Middle, unless he is overwhelmed at the moment. But if he can move, he'll take a Sentinel down as he joins Marduk's circle, preferably the Sentinel at one.

If he can't move, then he will attempt the acrobatics roll to roll under a bunch of the Sentinels and out of that square.

-

Coordinating...

Sirin, Heph, Balder, Hawk, keep with the circle, it's our best chance for survival.

Ares, continue being a limp noodle...

Burn, Melkor, Fire, Dallas is ordering you to ditch him. You're going to need to make the Acrobatics roll and head for Center Columns East or West; I say East, because only the beasties from Center Columns Middle can follow you, rather than from CC Middle and NC West on the West side. You'd be in yet another bad situation...

Ush, did you untap DM for me? It looks like you did...if so, can I swap KW for it? Hehe?

Klez is going to shoot down two Sentinels in North Columns Middle, both hit for one.

Swap BT for LR.

Sirin joins the gunners in the middle of Marduk's circle.

"Sorry to intrude, Captain," Sirin says, "but you seem to be doing better over here..."

Sirin pops off her shots at two Sentinels in North Columns Middle as well, both hit for two.

Melis continues fending off the Sentinels with her spear, watching as others continue to join the circle, moving slowly along with it herself.

Heph, with Ares slung over his shoulder, bloodied and bitten, continues to fight off the Sentinels, joining the fighters on the edge of Marduk's circle, keeping the gunners protected. Whichever Sentinel attacks him that he is able to attack, he smashes it in the face with a blow or two.

crap forgot dallas his instructions

I'll do what Mors advised and dallas asked and I'll try the acrobatics roll to Center Columns East. I'll still tap HT for defence after I land there. If I can attack I will do that.

Perhaps it is time Berserker pays attention and swap out CF for ST.

Then Berserker will continue to move slowly with the group and tap IB again on any Sentinel that gets too close.

Fire at the Sentinel nearest to the circle.

Melkor will also attempt to get to Centre Columns East with acrobatic roll. I will tap HT for defense, and swap CC for Hands of Light.

Berserker, ST won't do anything. You don't have any defensive powers at all! How'd that happen?

Yes he does, he has DM. WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE OUT.

People, HOW many times do I need to say it?! Pay attention to what is going on! You are going to die if you don't! And quite frankly I'm not going to have much sympathy for someone who dies because of their own stupidity.

And...ouch. That was a lot of damage at once. Well, continue the same as before - tapping IB while slowly moving forward.
