USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 THIRD ASSIGNMENT- 'The Fortress'

Heph remains quiet, keeping close to the Hunter and following his every move.

New experience for me, working with a Machine... Heph thinks to himself. I wonder what he was meant to be.

Sirin cautiously follows, ready to pull her pistols at any given moment.

Klez keeps watch on the tail end of the group, likewise prepared to draw.

Melkor is careful as well, since he is barely in shape to walk.

"Do you think that we could trust this guy not to screw with us?"- He whispers to Klez and Sirin. "And I quess I have to save your lives as well now, though you seem to be doing better in battle than I. Klez has quite an experience, but you have great talent Sirin, those guns seem to dance in your hands."- He smiles towards them both, though warmer at Sirin.

Sirin smiles slightly. "It's just what I learned in training. I take it from there."

Klez groans inwardly at Melkor's small attempts to flirt, but ignores it.

"I'm sure we'd already be dead if the Hunter was going to mess with us," Klez replies. "Keep quiet, though; for all my experience, I am not ready to take on the System right now..."

Berserker stands back and listens to Melkor's words. He smiles while continuing to walk with the group.

"Okay, Captain, let me get this straight. Your plan is for us to head straight into a heavily armed and guarded military base and go straight for the Ospreys, simply hoping that we can mow down everything that so much as glares at us?"

"What, not feeling optimistic?" Ares says, patting Hawk on the back.

"That's the kind of thinking I like, Hawk!" says Dallas.

-

I really just need to know if those without Intrusion have a plan, at the Monastery.

That would be Balder, Sirin, and Azrael. I think they should just follow the Hunter's lead. He seems to know what he's doing in order to avoid being caught.

Well, I'll still need to make a roll; even if it is at reduced difficulty or bonus to pool, those without Intrusion may want to come up with a plan, or be carried by others, or some such thing.

Can wounded people carry someone? I don`t think so.

Hawk shrugs. "I've already nearly died once today, why be scared now..."

He decides that all the stories about how crazy Dallas was were wrong. They were underestimating him.

Melkor suddenly seems a bit more concerned.

"What about monks? If Agents learn that they have been aiding us, they may harm them." -He whispers to his companions.

"I apologise, Finn." Barb mumbles, getting up from his chair.

"Captain, if I understand correctly. We are to try and steal some Ospreys from an Airbase?" He pauses, thinking. "Security is usually TIGHT on-base. Checkpoints, Sentry's, Guard Dogs... It would not be exactly easy, by any measure."

He searches his memory, bringing up events from his tenure in the Military whilst in the Matrix.

"But, they do receive alot of shipments... Food, and such. Rather large and unguarded trucks, those. Wouldn't be too hard to hijack one, and fit our teams on board."

He smiles broadly, before wincing in pain.

"Either way, I'm piloting."

Marduk opens his mouth to answer, but then a communication arrives; he goes off to answer it.

Sequel likewise goes off to answer on the Shez.

Ands nope, wounded people not great carriers.

Carrying those with low chances of passing the Intrusion roll might be a good idea. Does it increase the difficulty of those carrying?

Mors glances questioningly at Sequel, still standing by the Operator station.
