Another two-bit dialogue that has so much substance in it! I have a feeling this is how the whole movie will be, that we can read so much into everything. I'm so excited!

well, according to the novelization...Jack throws the compass to Will when he pushes him overboard...so that it can lead Will and Beckett back to where the Brethren is meeting...he's handing the compass to Beckett...it's part of his and jack's plan....

Will is probably talking to Liz. He sounds really sarcastic by quoting what Jack said to Liz in DMC (something about it points to what your heart really wants). He's probably still jealous about Jack and Liz. He probably got the compass when Jack was taken away to Beckett's ship. I don't think Will neither accepts nor will ever accept his pirate side, that's why he wants to save Bootstrap Bill from eternal pirate condemnation. To me, Will is unchanging even till death. He is that single-minded.

The Jack/Liz story arc in AWE will focus on trust/soulmate theme. I think Jack is quite sure Liz is his soulmate and he knows she knows they are both soulmates. He constantly challenges her to test if she seriously wants to embrace that side of her. His "unforgiveness" is a way to make her look at herself in the mirror and face the truth.

read the above post....no one's listening to me...

Will is talking to Beckett.....Jack gives him the compass when he sends Will to be captured by Beckett......it's part of their plan.....the compass will lead Beckett to Jack...which is where the Brethren Court Meet.....
Will and Beckett will arrive, Jack will be captured and thus set in motion his plan to get to Davy's heart onboard the Dutchman....so he can stab it and release Will's father from his curse, and obtain immortality so he won't ever have to die again...and Will and Liz are free to be together...

It's all in the novelization.....

Nope, he's talking to Beckett...just before will and beckett go in search of the brethren court..it's in the novel....

Jack gave the compass to Will...

SPOILERS...(straight from the novel, pg. 135, and i quote):

"How can I trust you, Jack?", Will asked.
"Trust is an elusive thing." Jack said, "but he needs must go when the devil drives, eh?" He pushed something into Will's hands. Will glanced down and saw Jack's famous Compass. Jack continued, "Here. Be sure to give Davy Jones my regards."
Will look up again, puzzled, but his expression turned quickly to surprise as Jack shoved him over the side of the ship.........

Will sighed. As usual, Jack was following his own plan, and Will had no choice but to go along with it.

then on pages 144-145:

"I want your assurances," Will said, trying not to let his anxiety show in his voice. He needed to sound calm and in control of the situations. "Elizabeth will not be harmed."

"Where is Shipwreck Cove?" Lord Beckett hissed.
"I don't know, " Will said.
......
"then you have nothing we want!" Davy Jones growled viciously.
But Jones was wrong.
Will looked at Beckett and help up....Jack's Compass.
"What is it you want most?" he asked with a smile.....

And there you go....

I have to say I trust lovethemtigers' word that Will is talking to Beckett here. And I have to respectfully disagree with you about Will not having a pirate side. Will is going to out-pirate them all, I feel. True, he's not as Machiavellian as Liz, but he is willing to take risks and play on the "bad guys'" team if it's for a good cause. He never would have broken a pirate out of prison and comandeered a ship with him if he didn't have a little bit of pirate in him. Remember, as honorable as Will is, his primary motivation is love. If he thinks he needs to be a pirate to help Liz, he's going to be the best damn pirate out there, and I think we're going to see that side of him when he interacts with Beckett. Keep in mind the series title "Pirates of the Caribbean" has changed meaning. In COTBP, the pirates were the outsiders, the strangers coming into town (Jack and Barbossa and the Pearl's crew and all). By DMC, Will, Liz, and Norrington are now insiders to this group and are to be included as Pirates of the Caribbean.

I do agree with you about Jack, though. I don't know how this triangle is going to resolve itself (I have my own little Gone With the Wind theory), but I think we're going to get a stronger love/hate relationship between Jack and Liz. He has every right to be mad and confused about her and I think he will keep his distance for a good portion of the movie. That doesn't mean their chemisty will go away. It just means I think we J/Eers are going to experience some serious angst.

I agree with Willo..plus it wouldn't be in form with their characters if they were to be all lovey dovey with each other...and remember there is a very thin line between love and hate.

The chemistry will be there....I can feel it in the trailers...chemistry like that just doesn't go away, and neither can it be forced... hint, hint....

it's very possible that the "two" kisses are one in the same...or that one of them is an edited part....becasue the two scenes are very similar...they are fighting, they are drenched in waves, etc.....

Hmm, me and savvysparrow were talking and had a thought. Will is becoming more like Jack, he is learning his methods, his tricks. So, who will now chase the horizon?

This clip actually made me laughed. ET decided to add all the Willabeth scenes together.

Now, I promise you that I'm not in denial or making up excuses. I'm neutral at what I do.

But this is for the general public/audience. Some of them don't look for spoilers like we do or add theories. They just asume that is Will and Elizabeth together.

I see your point, mina. It's not a big twist or anything. I'm not saying the previews we see don't have any value, but they are meant to tease, to entice, etc.

While I'm far from a W/E shipper, I'm getting more and more intrigued with Will and Orlando's performance. I think he's really going to grow in this one, which should make the dynamic of the trio change. It's like Jack thought he had two trained puppies, learned one of them could beat him, and now might be afraid the other one can beat him, too.

Dont fret love yesterday i was feeling down about Jack and Liz after we saw the new clip but then a real good friend of mine MINA.. txted me this quote by TnT : " Show the Most of what matters the Least!" and i swear that told me everything i needed to know!!! IT Brought a HUGE SMILE TO MY FACE 😄 and made me feel 10 times better!! Its exactly what i need to hear at that very moment....

And i disagree with the Will not accepting his Pirate Side....because by the End of AWE (like Jack said in COTBP "Pirate runs in ur blood Boy and u'll have to square with that someday"😉 Will will have to square with the fact that he is indeed a Pirate, because like it or Not...He's Gonna be the Pirate of all Pirates...CAPTAIN OF THE FLYING DUTCHMAN!!
