ya i think the idea is to visibly make Lizzy look Older to show that they've grown! and yes fighting and constantly being worried about something does make ppl age faster....and well Liz has got a lot to worry about these days *cough* Killing Jack*cough* Loving Jack*cough* while still having a fiance*cough!!! lol
lot of sleepless nights there!

Gar, the fiddle you say? I merry gig I'll be dancing on that day, says I.*does a poor attempt at a gig*.
If you weren't charming I'd have to hate you, but alas, you win this round. I admire a man secure enough to do a jig, even a poor one.
And yes, to be honest I think most of us are plum tuckered out arguing about it. Do you blame us for wanting a little peace? There's no point in hashing it through again and again to the rhythm of a poorly played tambourine. Obviously neither side is going to see eye to eye until the movie comes out. So most of us are attempting to take the high road by saying:
MAY 25th. We'll see whether the fiddle, the fife, or the tambourine prevails.

you know i have to agree with Willo (im still not a Willabether) but Will seems a lot more Interesting in AWE!!! He'll be edgy this time around because most of the Movie he'll be consumed with Jealousy!!And i disagree with the Will not accepting his Pirate Side....because by the End of AWE (like Jack said in COTBP "Pirate runs in ur blood Boy and u'll have to square with that someday"😉 Will will have to square with the fact that he is indeed a Pirate, because like it or Not...He's Gonna be the Pirate of all Pirates...CAPTAIN OF THE FLYING DUTCHMAN!!
Some people are rock stars in their souls. Some people are rock star wannabes. Some are pseudo rock stars with rock star trappings.
Is the FD captain a pirate? I thought he rescues souls?
Why must Will be more and more like Jack? Can't Will be Will?
hahaha, PirateDiva and Savvy, you two are spot on. I was just about to mention how Elizabeth looks much older/different than the first film. She seems to have become much harsher, in a way. I mean, she was a strong character in film 1, but she still had that kind of innocent determination. maybe she just wore more lipstick, i dont know. hahaha.
I don't want to argue the points of J/E vs. W/E, but there is one thing I want to note, because it's me and I have to say it....
I know people are hoping that they are building up W/E in the trailers so that way we'll be shocked by a J/E ending...but I think it's more likely that they are building up W/E so that way the emotional impact of when Will becomes Captain of the Dutchman will hit the audience even harder.
Think about it; in DMC we saw Elizabeth and Will Not Getting Along. In the beginning of AWE, Will and Elizabeth will Still Not Be Getting Along. To play into this and reassure the audience to stay to the end of the film, they need to give us that kiss and almost kiss in the trailer, so people will think back and say, "Yes, it will work out between Will and Elizabeth."
Then, during the film, after Will and Elizabeth make up, get married, have their phenominal kiss, and the audience is just so filled with glee that FINALLY things have worked out for Will and Elizabeth...
Will gets mortally wounded.
And then every (or almost every 😛 ) person's heart in that audience will shatter, because THAT ISN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. It will shock, horrify and tear the audiences' hearts out all at the same time. That's what playing W/E up in the preview is really all about.
Or at least, that's my theory. Carry on!

Ha, I'm not arguing. I agree with you! They're promoting that particular scene in the fight sequence so heavily to highten dramatic impact. It's a fate that Will doesn't necessarily deserve but Calypso has consigned him to it.
I think they're aware that Will is probably on the most bashed on characters of the series (I don't understand why, but to each his or her own). They've called AWE Will's movie because we'll see him develop most as a character and I'm willing to wager that those people who weren't keen on his character before will LOVE him in the end. He'll be given a nearly impossible set of circumstances to deal with and we'll see how it is that he responds to the situation.
Kate
I don't know if it's the absence of lipstick or the subtle twinge of orange to her features, but she looks like she's developing a beard.
