Ok after reading thru the thread again,all i see are meaningless arguments,and fans that wont back down,but thats cool,we all have our characters we think differently about

Again, this does not discredit in anyway what I wrote. Phoenix's powers and Storm's powers were equal. Storm had the power of a goddess. This was even stated in Life-Death as well as in the interview I posted with CC. Phoenix's powers were comparable to Ororo's. Thing is, Phoenix kept getting stronger and stronger and we got the DP Saga. It was then revealed there that Jean's humanity is what was keeping the PF's power in check. CC then did a story with Storm that established the same thing and put her on the par with DP. Both characters have near infinite power with the potential to gain unlimited power. Both were evolved beyond all comprehension. This article does not discredit what was written in the comics.

Rutog98, what would you say Ororo's level is today?

I found a board where CC was supposedly answering questons from people. I'll see if he says anything about the Storm/Phoenix correlation.

Well, with her mental blocks, I'd say she's at least omega level. With my upgrades, she'd be at least herald level.

Personally, I think there is canon enough for the character for her to be able to take on whoever she needs to fight.

Somtimes some Storm detractors can act like real pricks when you shatter their cookie cutter image of what Ororo' power ranking should be.

Hopefully I'll get some answers from Claremont.

The only reason I act like a prick is because Rutog claimed:

I do not claim that her powers can't increase and she can't become super uber, but the fact is that currently Storm does not equal a PF.

I think currently Storm=PF when Phoenix first came out, not the current incarnation.

Hmmmm, I'm going to have to think that one over a bit. 😕

That's what Claremont said back in that interviw in 1979. He said they were equal in raw power, Phoenix does have higher burst of power.

I think when Phoenix first came out, she and storm were equal, later the PF character was taken higher and higher, higher than Storm is currenlty I think.

Storm=the first incarnation of Phoenix back in 1980(I think that's when she came out).

Currently Storm may = the old Phoenix, maybe a little bit higher.
