The American Dream ......What a joke!
A tad long but extremely worth reading, I am sure you will give lots of feed back.
Remember the AMERICAN DREAM? You know the great job, the wonderful spouse, the house, kids and decent car. Ok then if this is the true AMERICAN DREAM then why when you are single and poor do you get handed the world from the government (like welfare and huge income tax checks)? Hmmm! Good question "right"!
We'll my husband and I are very much in love and happy to married however my income tax check was not nearly as much as it was when I was single, not to mention the cost to be on my husband's insurance for medical and dental it's a joke.
I believe that the way the system works it is really rewarding the welfare people for not working (in live in PA and only 9.9% of people on welfare work at least 20hours per week). I think that those who are working and not on welfare should be getting the rewards and this way it will be like an incentive for those on welfare to get off the couches and quit making more babies (I for one would rather have my taxes go to childcare instead of welfare so that these parents can go to work and use their own money like I do. And seriously isn't being on welfare make people feel like they are failing? And yes I was on welfare for 1 1/2 when my son was born "I hated it" and so I got two jobs and went to college in the end so that I don't have to be on it. My son is Nine Now! I think welfare should be there for people who are showing some serious interest in gaining independence.
I am tired of seeing people who are on welfare "who are so poor!" wearing Babyphat clothes and the newest released nike's it's sick that the middle class is working hard to buy and support what they have while those on welfare just sit around waiting for the next shopping trip.
Now don't get me wrong not all of those on welfare are lazy, but based on the satistics a lot are!
