Great book, but i agree that the ending was cheesy. Albus. lol weird name for a kid after it being an old man for 7 years. And no, ron doesn't die, neither does hermione, and neither does H@^^e

i felt so bad for all the times i cursed at snape in my head during the series

def my highlight...the chapter with snapes memories. i almost cried 🙁

I loved the book. Finished it in less than a day. Perfect ending for the series. Definitely one of my favorites of the series, if not my favorite one. Kinda hard to choose they're all good.

omg i loved that line!!!!!!

The ending was cheesy, but it had to be done.

You cant expect Rowling to make the ending depressing, or to not sum up what happens after the 7th.

I for one, wanted that ending. I wanted to know what happens to the characters, because we all know, she wont write more books, so I would of been pissed if the book ended on the last page (the epilogue isnt paged).

Two questions, will Rowling eventually tell people what Ron, Ginny, Hermoine and Harry do for a living, and for the math people out there, how old were Ginny and Harry when they had kids because Remuses son is on the train, so I assuming its when thier 22 or so?

EDIT.

I'm somewhat of an idiot to not notice the last chapters title, "19 years later". So yes, I now know the answer.

One more question? Do you think Rowling will continue with the series and start to write books between those 19 years?\
I would actually like to know what happens, it would pretty interesting.

Haha it was alittle funny how you missed the big printing on the page that said '19 years later'

Well.. well.. well.. what to say about the final book. Amazing! JK really put everything together in such a way from all the other 6 books, to nicely link them together as well as carrying on a gripping story.
I agree with most of you on saying that the '19 years later' thing was abit cheesy. I like the ending before that however, in the headmasters office. It was just alittle too much skipping forward 19 years. If she was to do this, it would be nice if she had, yes, mentioned what they were doing with their lives, apart from mate-ing it seems.

Apart from that, over all great book. I truely loved the twist about Snape and him loving Lily. That was the best plot of a book I've ever read.

Because they were important people in his life. To the last one. 😕

I would've loved to see a little bit more of the immediate repercussions of Voldemort's defeat, but alas, whatever. Probably the best HP book of the series.

"Not my daughter, you *****!" Best moment of the series... Molly can seriously pwn when she's finished with the washing... 😱 I enjoyed it overall, but they could have scrapped some of the country rambling for some repurcussions of the deaths at the end/ overall reaction, or whatever else... all the other Potters managed to tie things up nicely in the present yet I wasn't so sure about this one.
And Smasander, Teddy wasn't on the train, he was just 'seeing' Victoire (presumably Charlie and Fleur's daughter) off...

i was kind of bummed when in the epilouge, t only confirms that harry, ron, hrmione, ginny, percy, malfoy, and neville live

i was expecting to hear about all of the semi-main characters since it didnt go over it in detail when harry passed that huge pile of bodies

anyway, i laughed hen he called said "now listen albus severus..."

it just sounds so wrong

and did it say who teddy tonks is living with? i know it said he ws at harrys house alot but it didnt pecify

oh well, my favoite book of the series for sure

Luna should have been in the epilouge. She deserved to be 🙁

i know and i mean it was mainly students and teachers who were fighting, so the huge pile pf bodies had to have a bunch of familiar faces

and she never said who all the people were who were running toward hogwarts helping them were, i assumed it was either other wizards from hogsmeade or maybeeven another school? i was confused

I really didn't mind all that. I just wanted some more Harry/Ginny face time. I mean, one interrupted birthday kisses, and some awkward glances? I mean, at least one "Congratulations you did it" moment before the 19 years would've appeased me.

wat abt herm n ron? Wat happened with them?I havn't read the book so plz tell me.

Spoilers:

They get married. And have two children.

Ron ends up destroying one horcrux, hermione another. At one point in the book, Ron leaves the group (partially due to a horcrux's influence, but also due to the fact that he's a giant douche), but he later returns at a crucial point to save harry's life.

or just try reading the book? 🤓

RON'S a giant douche? You say that when he's in the same book as some drunk, when 3 teenagers in robes mysteriously appear out of thin air, and all he can do is ask Hermione to dump 'Ginger' and come and have a drink...

Albus Severus Potter...sounds better when you say it like that...it's a little odd, but not too much.

Allright, no way am I reading all these pages to see if there's an answer to this question...

Spoiler:
When Voldy "kills" Harry toward the end, and Harry wakes up in that vision with Dumbledore, there's a child "struggling for breath", and he's nervous to approach it. What is it supposed to represent? Himself as a baby, or something else? It wasn't really addressed...or maybe I was just dead tired when I was reading. Really, it's the only thing I don't really get. Thanks for any theories.
