I just found an old story where Surfer fights this obvious Darkseid analogue(not Thanos!) and the guy, named Manifesto Malonustrix, and the guy fired off his promielbreakers, (eyebeams) and previously in the story, he'd teleported solar systems complete with suns around the galaxy, and even tore a hole in the space time continuum. He repaired it with a breath................

He even claimed to have met and vanquished a prior Phoenix avatar somewhere in the ancient past.
He owned the Surfer at first, but then the Surfer was fighting him at superfast speeds, and when he went for his trump card, the Promielbreakers, Surfer met them for a minute, but used his brilliant mind to slow time and in the stretched out seconds created spacial warps that allowed the breakerbeams to hit Manifesto in the gullet.

he could use Cosmic Awareness to find the perfect counter energy for this much trumpeted OE beam. he easily could do that.
he could manipulate the gravity around the beams to such an extent that the beams bend in on themselves, shooting back at Darkseid.
