Who is going to be the next Captain America?

I just know Marvel's going to try to pitch Wolverine as Cap on us

Cap: Are you kidding me?!? You killed me off so you could replace me with this overexposed piece of garbage?!?

Joe Q: Hey, he brings in the cash?!?

Cap: But he's not even American!

Joe Q: Thats what we have retcons for

Cap: Don't tell me, your going to make Spider-Man the new Bucky next

I was wondering this my self.

I think falcon may be ronin so he likly a no go.

It seems like punisher may be capt though I am not sure.

Well, Cap and Punisher are a lot alike. The difference is Cap does what he thinks is right, and it's normally the right thing to do. Pun does what he thinks is right, but he just so happens to be a homicidal maniac.

Cap and Punisher could EASILY trade places. Seriously, if Cap's actions weren't being approved of, don't you think he'd still do them whether or not other people don't like it? Hell yes he would.

Did anyone happen to read this on marvel.com, thought it was some pretty good insight of one of the editors.

Intresting to say the least.

I can see it now. They get a "new" Captain America only this one has claws and shoots little sheilds from his gauntlets and he has a fancy hi-tech helmet and outfit that's more resistant but heavy.
And Captain America will have to recover and go back through training under Elektra to get better and Elektra sends these deadly ninjas to kill Captain so Captain's training is he fights for his life.
Meanwhile the new Az-Cap takes down the man that shot Captain...Crossbones.
Captain America returns to his cave and reclaims his mantle and fights the new Captain America/Azrael and defeats him with some bum move that blinds him. But Captain America doesn't arrest this "Azrael" character. No! He let's him go, blaming himself for allowing it to happen. And everyone lives happily ever after.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

You've basically just described Civil War from one side ✅

That news story up above, makes an interesting case for Luke Cage to take the mantle. Why not him? (He'll have to clean up his language, is all... 😄 )

And if they want a female, Miss Marvel seems the ideal choice.
