Call of Duty 4

yea I just best c.o.d.4 for pc and i'll have to say that I had a way, way better experience on it than I did on the 360.

Before I just had the 360 with a 32 in tube tv with the tv speakers providing the sound. But now I've played it on my flat 46 inch sony with optical surr. Snd. with all the graphical and audio settings set on ultra realistic and man 'o man was it an orgasmic experience. My body's still buzzing..

I think even with out all that it still would've been a blast cause fps's are always best played on the pc cause of the mouse. And cause the games look and perform way better that the consoles also..

To me, (pc) c.o.d.4 is the best modern war fps on the planet, till this day, about a year after it came out. It comes closer to perfection than any other fps out there now. And I give it a 10/10. And that is, to my recollection, the absolute highest rating i've ever given a game ever on here after reviewing dozens upon dozens of games on here throughout the years i've been a member on here.

Except it takes and makes what already made the previous cod games great, even better.

Things like better gameplay, on and off line, a better story, better visuals and better sounds leaps and bound over the quality effect previous c.o.d games had on it's sequels. It's what blatently differentiates 4 from the others. But that it is like the other c.o.d. games, well, it is a c.o.d. game after all, right.

Imo, c.o.d.4 is the best c.o.d. game out of 'em all, hands down.

It's best COD4, but it has to be. Its a sequel. But the SP is the exact samething as previous COD. It's not bad at all, but I felt I already played it before.

Online made some vast improvements, even though BF2 did it before, but in the end, the gameplay online is very, very similar to previous COD games. Too surive, run in a circle pattern around the map.

For somebody who doesnt try out games purely on the fact that it looks the same as other games, I cannot think how you missed the vast similarities between COD4 and the previous games. Hell, they even have the same missions.

This by no means is a bad game. Its a great game. I had alot of fun. By no means is that the best modern shooter out there.

I never understand how we can compare previous installments and say the sequel is better than the original because it has better graphics. Of course it will. COD is 5-6 years old.

I simply prefer the modern weapons. The combination of those weapons with CoD's gameplay was great.

That's understandable. It made the franchise fresh, no doubt about it.

But I wish they got away from the typically blow up anti aircraft gun, the level on the back of the truck with a missile launcher level and a few others. The missions themselves were too similar to me.

Cod4 is better cause it has to be because it's a sequel? Then why do I keep hearing that cod4 is better than cod5?

And did you expect or want cod4 to completely deviate from what made it probably the best fps series out?...it's a call of duty game and therefore it's gonna play like a cod game and nothing else. And as you wrote it happens to be really fun to play, as well.

And I don't see how graphically comparing some aged games to new ones is not understandable. HL2 and Doom3 are (still) graphically superior games that came out a few years ago that still look way better than even some top games out today.

I don't think they have many options.

In a straight-up shooter like this, what are their options? In war infantry soldiers don't exactly have the most flexible of jobs.

Storm the enemy's position, defend your position, save the hostages, assassinate the guy, support the other troops, escort... nothing we haven't seen before.

I'm currently playing COD4: MW so I can brush up on my skills for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. I still think that this is one of THE best FPS shooters of all time, if not the very best one ever.

meh i dont like the m4 so much, i prefer ak 47 or m16.

m16 with stopping power and m4 are probably my least favorite guns because theyre literally abused by people.. >>

What does it matter what gun the other players use? Guns don't add any value to HP or anything, Enemy got an m4? Kill him, M16 Kill him. Why is gun choice even an issue?

Agreed. Don't know why people moan about others using the M16 with stopping power. Yes it's killing power is higher than most other guns but you have to be extremely accurate with it because of the 3 shot semi-auto fire. If someone misses 1st shot then you can easily take them out.

If there's one thing I do get frustrated at CoD4 is that when you get shot and killed when you've clearly gotten around a corner into cover but still die.

That happens because of the online play. Same thing happens in other fps games. its annoying as hell.

first off its killing power its killing power isnt just "higher than most" its the only non-sniper rifle that kills in one hit even when fired from the hip. the pinpoint accuracy is burdensome if youre a naturally poor shot but the aim assist in the game makes that a non-factor. you have to be a worse than average to miss with the m16 really its my main rifle weapon i use it more than any other assault rifle. the only time my shots are ever off is when im firing from the hip... obviousy there is no one invincible gun ir w/e but its aggravating when people get two or three kills over you and boasts about it despite the fact that we're using the same gun difference being mine doesnt kill in one accidental barely aimed shot. 🙄

i believe IW has said already that theyre probably gonna nerf it for the next game though so thats a good thing at least.
