Maybe it does not but back in the day it implies that his suit was not more durable than kevlar it just did the samething that kevlar did differently.
For example DD being able to KO BP implies his suit was not more durable than kevlar becuase BP is not less durable than DD or another street levelers, except for Wolverine.
BP has stalemated Cap on 2 occasions once when he was injured.
Black Panther did not recieve his vibranium suit until Christpher Priest run. All apperances before that it was just a normal grab.
But it doesnt matter at this point, I could post scans of BP toying with Deadpool, BP dodging a crazy amount of Iron Fist attacks, BP tossing wolverine into the other X-men, him stalemating cap, him fighting killmonger for 13 hours, him defeating the entire new warriors without prep, him taking shots from Hulk before the vibranium suit, and it still wont matter.
It seems people will still find excuses to not vote him to the top.

It's not that Black Panther isn't top tier, it's that even if he was, he'd have to replace someone else who is more dissevering of the spot then he is. People aren't comfortable with replacing Iron Fist or Shang Chi with Black Panther because even if he is top tier, they are still more skilled then he is.

Trying to run BP over with a taxi is one on reason it should have been easy to tell he was fighting like an idiot. I mean WTF, Iron Fist trying to comic vehicular manslaughter? What was he thinking? He's fighting style emphasizes subtlety and efficiency... instead he was acting like an angry bull and spent the entire issue screaming and fighting a madman.

The whole idea is that the taxi can move faster than IF can run, he was using his head. Not that illogical. Apart from that how was he acting like a dumbass he was trying to hit BP and was missing.
Furthermore I think the taxi actually put BP through a window, so it wasnt such a bad idea.

Because the character isn't in control of their actions. A mind controlled character rarely fight the same way they do when not under the influence of mind control and the fact that anyone with a high degree of will power is struggling internally to over come the mind control creates a latency between thought and action. They simply aren't bringing their 'A' game.

I think you need evidence to make that assumption. If the character doesnt say anything we could assume that his will has gone.

1. I would assume that the writer thinks that a taxi can move faster than IF can run. Therefore if IF drives a taxi and trys to run over BP its not a stupid idea.
2. The taxi put BP through a window. The stupid plan worked.
Furthermore after BP got put through coach bus windows. Guess who was witing for him on the other side? IF, which therefore means that IF got out of the taxi before BP went through the windows and waited for him on the other side.
