That was recently voted upon and discussion was closed. He's actually being considered for having too few showings to place him, but that's a different matter.

The vote count is tied 7 for 7. 😮

Anyhow the argument as to why Sentinel should be lowered to High Herald. Though he has handled himself well against good opposition. He feat for feat, he falls behind the likes such as Surfer, Thor, Kyle, or Hal.

We should not be, swayed on potential. His title, as the most powerful living man in the Galaxy is nothing more then just that. A title. look at Green Lanterns title as the most powerful weapon in the universe?

My thoughts exactly.

For Sentinel to HH.

8 FOR sentinel to HH.
7 AGAINST.

huh? what kind of majority is needed? i thought it was just the tally that determined things . . .

mhmm

i always thought a character needed a clear majority to be moved.

Usually changes are only made if there's a clear and overwhelming majority.

Going by precedent, yes, a tight vote generally doesn't end in a change. Moves are made with a clear majority only. We don't have set percentages, but it's usually been easy to separate those who are a clear consensus and those who are hotly contested.

It's like the difference in vs. threads where you have 10/10, or somewhere between 3 and 7 out of 10. The former is clear. The latter depends on opinion and perspective. And I hate making a move that almost 50% of those involved are opposed to. It would be like declaring a clear cut winner in a vs. thread where most say someone wins 6/10. Or in this case, 8/15.

We can always discuss this policy openly, but I've liked how it has protected a lot of wholesale moves that may have been gut reactions to certain feats. I'm not saying that's what Alan's vote is (it's not), but it would be hard for me to make an exception to our previous decisions.

meh. i'd just like a better feel of why people voted for him. does he have better feats than ss or thor? not from what i've seen in his respect thread. does he cleary win threads against those in the herald tier? not that i've seen. so why IS he left there? reputation? hearsay and title? potential?

i just don't see any on-panel proof that he should be there. 😬

just answer me this last bit then i'll drop alan for good. of the people you know in the trans-tier, who would you give alan a clear majority of victories over? anyone else is free to chime in of course. i'd be interested in the answers. (i could do a vs thread if you'd rather not discuss it here, though i do think the answers relevent to the topic at hand.)

alas, it appears the alan vote is done. so . . . back to kurse . . . 😄 down to mid-herald is my vote. reason--far too one-dimensional and likely coudn't beat anyone in the herald tier. all of them (nearly) could win via bfr 10/10, most could use matter manip to exploit his weakness. i see no reason why he's in that tier.

I'll agree with this, on the grounds that anyone so one-dimensional probably shouldn't be in that tier (peak Grundy's inexplicable beatdowns of entire herald teams aside).

Also, yes, voting on Alan is over. He stays.

kurse to mid-herald:

for--digi, leo

definitely for kurse to mid-herald, or even lower.

he's got more than enough strength to warrant the classification, but he does not have the versatility i feel is required [even for the mid-herald tier.] it seems that almost any of the established mid-heralders could easily defeat him [via BFR, intangibility, speed, transmutation, etc] in a standard/PIS-free forum match.

imo, of course. 🙂

Galan...he is high herald...they are talking of moving him down to mid herald.....it seems you think he was going up...or maybe i am misunderstanding?

edited. my bad.

however, i personally still feel MH is too high of a tier for kurse, due to the reasons i mentioned.
