I'd think that Gargan Venom's strength would be in class 100+. The symbiote increased Eddie's 700 lb lifting strength to ~20 tons (I think that was the most common strength listed for Eddie Venom, but correct me if I'm wrong). Mac already had Class 15 strength to begin with so he should be pulling in more towards 100 tons.
Also, is this a general Venom respect thread or just for Eddie Brock? Because Anti-Venom isn't technically Venom and I don't believe Mac Gargan has a respect thread.

I don't. I personally liked Gargan as Venom far more than Eddie and I grew up with the Spider-man animated series and him as Venom and he was one of my favorite comic book characters for a lot of my formative years.
But when I read The Thunderbolts run with Gargan on it, Dark Avengers, Sinister Spider-man and all the tie ins, I just found I liked Gargan's sociopathical mass murdering approach to being Venom. I liked how he became more than just a Spider-man villain and less of a joke he was when he was Scorpion. I loved how he was terrified of the symbiote but was addicted to the infamy and power that came with it, not wanting to return to just being a loser. He was a desperate man and would do anything to not lose the tenous grip he had on what he felt was fame and real power.
I'm not happy they took the symbiote from him but as long as they don't give it back to Eddie I'm good. I hate when writers bring back old characters or undo changes in characters' development just to play to the purist, conservative fanboys.

Just bought and read Venom 1. I'm really liking Flash Thompson as Venom so far and I'm interested by what they're showing as the capabilities of the symbiote.
Now, since I'm "that guy", anyone planning on remaking this?
And if so, I'd like to say that all versions of Venom should be included and just have the feats separate (similar to the Wendigo respect thread). I think it's really narrow to just limit the Venom Respect thread to only be Eddie Brock. He's not Venom anymore and probably won't be any time soon.
So instead of having Venom feats strewn across multiple character threads, how about we don't make a Respect thread for any character named Venom but the symbiote itself?
It doesn't matter if Gargan is a loser or not (though honestly I've never seen him get schooled as bad as Aleksei tends to be, especially including the infamous Tiny Deadpool collar), I put forward that the respect thread should be about Venom, not its hosts. The fact it could create an entire functioning tail appendage and consistently increase its host's size, muscle mass and strength to go toe to toe with higher than Class 40 foes is impressive for the symbiote.

He isn't Venom.

Eh.. I dunno. Maybe I'll make a section about symbiote's general abilities and include some stuff from Gargan's run. But his name will not be mentioned in the respect thread. It is a disgrace for both the symbiote and the cool oldschool villain once called Scorpion.
