Sure, but i'd still like to know how "unconditional" in the christian understanding doesn't apply to the conventional, non-christian understanding of the term.

I don't understand the statement.

Hence my question, "why does God need a trumpet?", if God is needless? Do you really think people won't listen to Jesus-god unless he's properly introduced by way of trumpet? You're attributing human needs and qualities to an omnipotent, omniscience and abstract concept; it's madness.

All that God does, He does out of desire not necessity. Do you follow me?

"why does God need a trumpet?"

Because it's a dramatic affectation that was used by iron-age cave dwellers to get the attention of the masses?

And many believed that the pharos of Egypt would live forever.

But Jesus does live forever (there's a difference).

How is "want" an essential concept to a divine, all-encompassing being?

Well, unfortunately I have to get up early tomorrow morning so I must end this session for now. A reva derche, hasta luego, bon voyage, chow bela (did I leave any out?). I apologize for the poor spelling.

Then, EXPLAIN "it".

A cowardly retreat, just like your "god"

And you're still applying human qualities and needs to an omnipotent being. Logically thinking, would a being with the power to create existance and time itself really care for pomp and circumstance?

you have a lot more than spelling to apologize for.

My point exactly... if the Bible were to be written today, God would be rapping into a bullhorn while skimpy angel-chicks did the electric-slide in the background, as he "gathered his flock."

Edit: Then again, another 500 years and 500 rewrites to the book that is holy; it might just be so.

Only in the minds of those people who believe he is alive, but so is King Tut still alive in the minds of those who wish to believe that. You create your own reality, and to you the idea of Jesus being alive is real.

That's racist.
