And what about unanswered prayers? That is asking god to intervene and he doesn't.
God is not a cosmic bellhop Who just does whatever we need or want at the drop of a dime. We cannot just do our own thing 365 days a year and then when we get into a jam or something that we cannot figure out, call on God and expect Him to bail us out. It does not work that way. We must live according to His Word, strive to please Him, spend time with Him in prayer, read His Word and speak or confess His Word daily. These are some of the responsibilities that we as believers have. Jesus said it this way:
John 15:7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
The problem of unanswered prayer has to do with our faith (i.e. we must believe and confess i.e. say that we have whatever it is we need/want in order for it to manifest in our lives), our relationship with God (i.e. our walk with God. We must make an effort to live holy), and finally with God's timing. God does things on a time basis or in the appointed time, not just on a need/want basis. Look up the word "appointed" in the Bible and tell me what you learn. Again, we must spend time putting God's Word into our heart as well so that we can speak it into existence in our lives.
