Yes, but not an artist's rendering, sketch, or imagination--an actual fossil.

I request that you provide the remains of Moses or Jesus as proof of their existence. Until then, I'm going to regard them as not real. I don't want illustrations or books mentioning them. Until then, I will regard them as nonexistent.

But... the Bible...

I'm still waiting for a reply, JIA.

Don't hold your breath.

Shaky,

Isn't it about time your put down your pagan beads, incest, beliefs and just accepted the truth that JIA is telling you about?

Come on now, the Bible is old and he has no reason to lie to you, love Jesus, damn you, love him.

The beads are jingly. We like them.

I love my beads, and my alter cost me way too much. Maybe I can get a government bail out. 😂

There are more ways to insult someone than by calling them names. You could insult their intelligence, for instance.

Your world view is very narrow. It consists of atheists and christians. You don't adress Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism or any other religion. Why? Because you choose to believe that the bible is the truth, word to word, without any proof. And to you, the millions who believe in both and evolution and god are wrong. The millions who practice other religions are wrong. The billions with different beliefs are wrong.

You do not believe that there is possibility that you are wrong. Technically, that makes you a kind of god. You couldn't care less if your beliefs are the truth or not, as long as everyone excepts them.

Why do you shut up when I mention other religions? Reply the post i quoted.

He is afraid of satan.

I don't understand why some people want to take the bible word for word, I was taught that this is the teachings of god and how to live your life and not some type of history book. Man can not understand his word and we do our best to follow and to teach his word the best we can.

That is the difference between a moderate and an extremist.

When I was younger I thought that it was all true but as I grew older and talked with more people I see that it is not but teaching you to live your life as pure as you can.

That's what rational people do while growing up, they realize that stories like 'the boy who cried wolf' aren't really real and are told to teach a lesson.

As with JesusIsAlive post about the creation of Adam I see this as a metaphor as well, god created Adam from the earth and breathed life into him. We are made of the same stuff as the earth and the heavens, god created life from non-organic material and gave it the spark of life. I don't see this as much different than how science says that it happened, non-organic material forming organic material. The bible doesn't say that Adam was a fully formed man and god is not subject to time as we know it which the bible says as well so for him a million years is just a blink of the eye.

However, JIA believes, and let him correct me if I am wrong, that Adam was a real person who walked on the face of the Earth a around 6,000 years ago.

Thank you, this is kind of the idea for my report that I have been working on for school well sort of an idea but I haven't put anything down yet. My teacher thought that it would be a good idea for my to learn evolution by comparing it with the bible but more and more I read about it I think that it will be a lot of work.

You forgot "and lived happily along side the lion, lamb and tyrannosaurus rex."

He does, and the metaphor was unintended. Sure, I understand it, but it's only another way to assert that the bible is the truth, now in a metaphoric sense, when science finds evidence that says it isn't.

From what I know the Hebrew for man is Adam so it would be god created man and not one person but Paul's teaching says that it is one man. For me it makes more since that god created man not just one man.
