How old does he say the bible is?
Doesn't really matter anyway, he'll just say the religions that came before it are wrong. I'm done arguing with the guy.

Do you believe that human evolved from apes?

Humans are apes. 😄

From the earth and yes I do believe that man evolved from apes.

Okay, i get what you mean. To you, the bible is one giant metaphor and that is cool.

I really can't see it any other way now. How can man know the word of god, he would have to use things that he knew to write it down and he would not have know of things like atoms and DNA or existing outside of time and space. Man at that time had a very limited understanding of what god showed him so they did the best they could to write down what god showed them.

...they wrote what they thought god showed them.

As I believe so yes, why would god be vague in the telling of his word to man unless man couldn't understand the power of his word.

Which god are you talking about? 😕

The god of the bible, who else would I be talking about?

I look at the other religions the same way, there is only one god but those that he spoke to wrote their message the way that they saw it and that is why many of the religions are similar with cultural differences.

That maybe true to a point, but even in the bible there is at least three gods.

I'm not going to talk about evolution anymore. You've got no clue and are not willing to learn.

OTHER RELIGIONS, ARE THEY ALL FALSE?

The Apostle Peter speaking said, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other Name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." (see Acts 4:12).

Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father [i.e. God in Heaven] except through Me." (see John 14:6).

This is what the Bible reveals and what I believe. This is your answer.

That is also a common concept in Buddhism. A teacher says that you can only make into enlightenment through him. Then he revels that enlightenment like salvation is not something that can be obtained. A person must realize their own enlightenment/salvation.

There is no god. Some smart person made it up to help people make morally sound choices and to explain what he/she saw all around them. Good intentions I'm sure and god does a lot of good. Gives moral assurance and a purpose to life if people choose to accept it. People do a lot of good in god's name and also a lot of bad.

My opinion and what I believe.

Perhaps that is all a god is after all (us).

I still don't understand how you can look at the bible literally and not see that it is the teachings but not a word for word account of what happened. Do you think man could comprehend what god would show him?

None of evolutionary theory is provable or proven so to believe in evolution is true blind faith.

If that were true then it wouldn't be a scientific theory. Fail.

I don't know how you can believe in evolution when it has never been proven, doesn't make sense, is illogical, and irrational.

Go back and study the 2nd law of thermodynamics, it explodes evolution.

Yes, I do believe that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God." (see 2 Timothy 3:16),

and that "...prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." (see 2 Peter 1:21)
