I believe that you should.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another (John 13:34).

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28).

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (Romans 12:14).

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9).

Careful when quoting scripture to back your arguments.

Why is that? I'm showing things that I believe how god tells us to treat others.

I find that it's hard to philosophize when you've been turned into salsa.

What kind of gun is that?

You're wary of leaning too much on your faith primary holy text?

I'm Roman Catholic...

Authority was not given to the Bible by Christ, he vested the authority to teach in his apostles, primarily Peter. The Bible is a product of the Church as an aid to the faith- it is not the bedrock of the faith. The Pope is. As such Catholic's should not over concentrate their faith in the Book, but rather in the Mass and the Church.

Yes I am but I do not become dependent on it but as I have said it is teaching me how to live my life. This is what I was taught by my parents and by my church.

Truth is a perspective.

Of course, most people forget that that is also just one perspective.

This is actually one of my favorite verses from any religious text:

Tell Christians that the punishment they desire to see exacted upon you is not theirs to decide; judgement belongs to God and God alone.
-The Koran 6:57

Do you believe that Christians desire to see you punished? I don't, I desire to see you saved from punishment through Jesus Christ's work on the cross.

You would not know it by reading your posts.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Jesus doing all the work that got him on that cross. Other people had to nail him on there.

Last time I check Jesus didn't say, "You know what, I think I want to be crucified today."

He sacrificed himself willingly. He could have stopped it- he was God.

So he willingly got himself into trouble so that he could get nailed to the cross? So if he was a god he let himself feel pain, die and all that jazz?
