A free body diagram is a pictorial representation often used by physicists and engineers to analyze the forces acting on a free body. A free body diagram shows all contact and non-contact forces acting on the body.
A free-body diagram is a sketch of an object of interest with all the surrounding objects stripped away and all of the forces acting on the body shown. The drawing of a free-body diagram is an important step in the solving of mechanics problems since it helps to visualize all the forces acting on a single object.
In this context it highlights the misuse of the word "mechanically."
(I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon.)

I got ya. I was just trying to visualize it. Could it be like how the soul would flex within the body under stress? 😂

Mechanically? I would also challenge your use of the word.
"mechanism" and "mechanically" are not exclusive to physics or engineering. In philosophy of science, a mechanism is basically the best model we have to describe a phenomenon. If one thing causes another thing, there is a mechanism. It can be very ambiguous or incredibly specific, depending on the field of science and the scope of the model/study.
A "free-body diagram" is an inappropriate request, as the model is not of engineering. A modest attempt would be:
However, more importantly, the entire criticism is moot. You can't model the supernatural, and asking for such shows, rather than the inadequacy of the religious explanation, the lack of understanding of basic PoS. God wont have a physical model, by definition.
However, even given that caveat, if God affects the world by means of ones faith, then the use of mechanism in JIA's statement is correct. However, a more valid criticism might be that one's faith determines if God will affect the world. In the former, you get into the interesting paradox of God wanting to and attempting to grant someone's prayer, yet being unable to because of their lack of faith, as opposed to the latter, where he decides not to because of you are not "worthy" (which in itself is a logical proof against "merciful" or "benevolent"😉.
EDIT: wow, is there better image hosting than imageshack? this was a nightmare getting that image to show up.

Being a mechanical engineering major, could you explain the mechanics of faith, plz? Make sure to draw up a free-body diagram and show your work.
You wouldn't understand because it is a spiritual law. But faith is a product of the human spirit and is released through the words of one's mouth. I believe therefore I speak. This is how faith works by speaking.

Why should we believe you?
You should believe me because like Jesus said,
John 7:16
My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
John 14:24
...the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
I am not on here promoting my opinions or thoughts. I am here proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. I preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified, buried, and raised from the dead.
You can have eternal life now, do you want it?
