It's kind of hard to interpret something that flip flops alot.

What does flip flopping have to do with what I said? 😕

I was referring to the Bible itself, not you.

😆 I see... I never thought of the bible as flip-flopping. But you are right. God is the biggest flip-flopper of them all. In the OT he is all wrath and punishment, but in the NT he is love.

Well, I guess when you can't bring in the followers through fear, you gotta change your image. lol

A perfect being changing his image to attract more followers.

That statement, more then any other, proves, for me, that the god of the bible is man made.

Why do people get offended when you tell them the truth as it pertains to the Bible?

I'm not sure. I think that they just don't want to have to be responsibile for their actions, to themselves or to anyone else.

a) because there's no way of knowing that it's really the truth.
b) because some of the 'truths' in the Bible are rather undesirable.

If you don't believe the Bible, I'm not sure that you have any business talking about this subject.

There are other religions that teach responsibility of ones actions, and those religions have nothing to do with the bible.

People who do not believe the bible can be very knowledgeable about the bible.

I would think you couldn't really say that you don't believe in the Bible unless you have knowledge of what is written in it.

What utter tripe.

I've known Atheists who could beat priests in Biblical scholarship debates.

He shows several of the same emotions. You know, the ones that make us sinners and flawed, and yet he/she/it is still perfect.

I think that's because OT and NT are made by two different religions - Judaism and Christianity...although most of Christianity accepts the OT...but I'm not even sure about that.

people can't handle the truth because they rather believe that their lives have some meaning, that they themselves are protected and that life has a balance. You can't tell a religious person that their is no god because then you would have killed them and what harm does it do anyways?

Do you think it is possable to convince an atheist that they are part of something bigger?
