For us, he has never made him self known, outside of some book that people wrote. You can't know him in any of the five senses, I've never spiritually felt his prescence. It seems as though he is no more real than any comic book character we read about.

Other than that, all you have is faith, and faith in itself seems illogical. I mean believing in something that you have no way of knowing is there, or with any scientific backing.

As a general rule, if someone points out a difference between you and JIA, you can count it as a compliment.

The Bible is a guide for living, you can do all the right things in the Bible, but does that mean you will be treated well by others? LOL.

Ah no, in fact it's been my experience the more you follow the Bible, the more crap will get thrown at you. I have no idea why that it is.

That is why when I go to church, I notice a lot of preaching to the choir stuff going on.

Feel what Bible is really saying is there is good and evil in many forms and it's your duty to sort it out and link yourself with the layers of goodeness and good people and avoid the layers of evil wisely.

That is what makes things complicated. I have had to walk away from people that are benign evil, just to protect my own sanity and well being. I like them and care for them, but I don't like people stealling my thunder and stars. Life is too short for that kind of downer and anxiety.

I agree. However, I would not use the word "hearing" but "sincere listening" with humbleness. It can be difficult to humble yourself and then sincerely listen. It is even more difficult to do that if you have no direct need to humble yourself.

It's not the bible that is lying. The people who wrote the bible may have been wrong, but I think they believed in what they wrote. The real problem is with the people who interpreter the bible. There are a fair number of those people who are lying, but the majority are just wrong.
