It's too bad quantum physics, basic scientific knowledge, and basic logic completely trump the Bible and all other religious (read: MYTHOLOGICAL) works. How can God create the Earth in 7 days if the universe doesn't run on a day-night cycle as it obviously doesn't rotate around a star? Sounds like a massive error in basic scientific knowledge, but one to be expected of a desert primitive who had no idea WTF he was talking about.

Stop crying because your parents browbeat Jeebuz into you. Gain your own opinion and look at the facts in front of your face. Christianity is an outddated myth, just like every other religion, created by people too primitive (read: STUPID) to understand science. The only reason it is so wide-spread is because they get indoctrinated by their parents, who were indoctrinated by their parents, etc.

I must ask you this. Scientific atheists disregard the Bible because they have both intimate knowledge of science and the bible, and thus are able to compare objectively and determine that the bible is wrong. Do you have an intimate knowledge of science. Are you saying that you're intimate and have a full comprehension of quantum physics and big bang theory and biological evolution, and compared that to the bible and The Bible Sounded More Plausible???!!!.

If you answered yes to the above question. I have another: Is your IQ in the single digits, or the negatives?

Trust me,

1 Corinthians 2:9 states, But as it is written:“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Mansions are but one small amenity in the Kingdom of Heaven, but not the most important.

To me being in the Presence of Heavenly Father, the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit FAR OUTWEIGHS the other things in Heaven.

But don't get me wrong, I will enjoy all that Heaven has to offer, and it is MUCH, SO MUCH THAT THE MIND CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE IT! (I apologize for the caps).

God loves you Lestov16 so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die on a cross for you, so that if you believe in Him, you should not perish but have everlasting life.

Two things:

1. The whole "7 days" thing is easily explained by God using terms that would be better understood by his lessers. Small children don't understand things in their "by the book definition" so adults tend to "dumb them down" so the child can better understand. Some things aren't meant to be taken literally i think.

2. There are many scholars and scientists that believe in God and use science to prove He exists. Simply saying "believers don't know science" or "science proves there is no God" is faulty and narrow minded when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Ah i see that you are far beyond having any rational conversation about this subject due to your bias. Too bad as i feel you are a smart guy and i wanted to hear any legitimate points you may have. And i see you totally avoided my points about many men of science, far more educated on how the world/universe works than you or i, believe in God. I will not dispute that there may be a sentient omniversal creator, but it sure as hell isn't the Abrahamic God, by no means. Scientists like Einstein view God in a naturalist perspective, saying that God IS the universe and it's physical systems, and that's fine, but to say he's some tyrant in the sky who hates gays is absolute ridiculous and any man of science who denies logic in turn of the biblical interpretation is an idiot in my book.

And as I stated, the stuff written in the Bible WAS MEANT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY when it was written. Even if we did take it at face value and consider one "Hebrew Day" to be seven or so thousand years (I can't recall the exact number) , the math is still astronomically wrong compared to the scientific facts. so no matter what, the bible is wrong and has been proven wrong.

Who says every single thing was meant to be literal? You saying that men should literally pluck out a wandering eye? Or cut off a wayward hand? How can you be so sure i wonder? We learn new things everyday. Look at what humans believed 100 years ago. And 100 years before that. For all you know in 100 years every single thing you believe about creation of the universe could be proven wrong. You're of the mindset that what we think we know now is 100% fact and cannot possibly be wrong and that's the same mindset men had in the past and have been very wrong. You really just seem to be dead set on making the point that it cannot possibly be true no matter what. How can you be so sure the universe wasn't created in such a way? Can you in all honesty claim that we(mankind), at this point in our history, know everything there is to know or ever will be known about how the universe came to be?

As far as the week thing, it was actually Saturday that was the day of rest. God wanted man to take a day to devote soley to him.
