I reckoned it was because Zorc is a creature of darkness and Blue-Eyes is a light attribute monster, so... yeah.Ra is too for that matter if I recall correctly. In which case, he should've done better against Zorc (more-so than Obelisk and Slifer at least).
Or that BEWD (Spirit form, meh) is just that powerful 😐
Ra's not a light attribute monster 😬, if so, what are Obelisk and Slifer? They're certainly not Warrior and Dragon, those aren't even attributes. If you were to classify Ra as a type, he'd be either a Dragon, Winged-Beast or Machine.
They're Divine according to the cards.
Games are so messed sometimes doh
Though given that he was more powerful than either Obelisk or Slifer, he should have done better than them. So there is some truth in your statement, even if it was unintentional 313

As for the type thing though, yeah. I guess Ra would be Machine, not so much the other two.
About the last part, nah. It wasn't unintentional. Ra in its phoenix mode indeed should've made more of a difference against Zorc than it actually did.

Well give some credit Ra beat Diabound but the other gods couldn't.

Not arguing his power, just that he shouldn't have done better than the other two because he was a 'light' monster.
He should have done better though, since he's said to be more powerful than the other two.
Though in all fairness, they should have all been equals.

I can accept that.. but how exactly is it that powerful?
It is claimed to have power that surpasses the gods individually 313...somewhat bull, but it did do a heck of a lot better than any of the gods did when solitary.
Attribute also has nothing to do with 😬, I think.

In Phoenix mode, which is its true form, tis a Winged-Beast. Also, Nepthys has a Machine-like appearance as well.

Oh, I thought you were referring to it being a light monster as to why it should have done better. My apologies.

Agreed. Ra isn't my favorite out of the three anyway in terms of appearance/coolness.
Well, when he goes Phoenix mode, he's my fave, otherwise, it's Obelisk, with Slifer a close second. Ra looks like crap in his normal mode.

Ah. Now I think I recall what you're talking about... Who was it that claimed that though? I forget.
Same here. I have to watch the arc to see who claimed it, probably Priest Seto or his father, that Akhenaden guy.

Wasn't he corrupted by some outside force? Or was it willing on his part?

Priest Seto doesn't parallel Kaiba unfortunately >.<, cept maybe for the BEWD connection.
Yeah I'm rebuilding it soon with a few less Dragon cards maybe a magician deck? I'd have to put in some non-magic warriors to cover their weakness against machine monsters though... and i only have so many of those... anyway, the duel is going to be held at the end of the month and tons of my friends are going to be there. Well anyway about Exodia and the God Cards. I did my research and all and from what I've gathered it seems that when you play Exodia in the Anime it automatically wipes the opponent out (have to peices to him and collecting -no ebay account T-T -). And if you play it in the Card game... it automatically wipes your opponent out... sooooooooo it would SEEM that it would be stronger than the god cards in this case. Because it automatically wins the duel for you. But 5 out of 40-60 cards is a high bet to place your win on. At the highest 15 out of that odds because the highest number of the same cards you can have in your deck is three (So what the hell's up in Battle City with that Rare Hunter -- ya know when Yugi faces him to get Joey's Red Eyes Black Dragon back -- ? His deck was MADE OF EXODIA CARDS - 4 kids ****ed that up to T.T) So that must be why they made it....
PS: If anyone here knows anyone who works for 4 kids kill them for me 😉
PSS: If anyone here works for 4 kids, do the world a favor and commit suicide 😄
Hehe, also, would help if you could break up any future such paragraphs into smaller sections. I found it quite hard to keep track of all the words >__>

I'm pretty sure it was both actually. Don't remember the exact details though.
I see. If he was corrupt from the start, that would certainly make Gozabura a proper reincarnation of the guy.

lol Yeah. Ironically though, I read on wiki not too long ago that in the original Japanese version, Kaiba's a lot nicer than in the english dub, and is a believer in magic, the ancient past, etc. too like everyone else, but I still find that hard to believe.
Might be true. Hard to believe though as you said. Unless you watch the Jap version, you won't know. Though watching Kaiba in the Jap version would mean the loss of listening to the great voice acting by Eric Stuart.

Indeed. 😬
uuuuuuuuuuuum archetypes? Can someone explain here? I've been playing this game and watching the anime for a while but i dont have a ****ing clue what archetypes are.
I feel bad for the anime. The turned a good show into a nightmare in both conutries --
Japan: They're gay..... no seriously they sound utterly gay
English: No action and all of this censored crap...
Damn it im watching the dutch version!

I haven't played the game in a while. How relevant (I.E. effective) are Exodia decks in today's card game climate?
