I'm helping out with the Bracket problem. Just as a question, everyone would rather have a one on one in the finals, right?
I posted this a while ago.

12. leonidasWe'd need 4 more people to make it a straight knockout tourney.
How about, instead, the losers of the first 4 matches make up the second half of the second bracket?
09 Vs 10
11 Vs 12Loser 1 Vs Loser 2
Loser 3 Vs Loser 4Or, We could always just have a vote after the first 6 matches to say who the best 2 losers were and add them back in to make it a straight 8 man knockout format.
That would be fairer, as whoever loses the matches 09-12 wouldn't have a second chance the first way round.
Any thoughts/comments on this?
FYI - the numbering of the matches is purely arbitrary in order to help explain wtf I was talking about. [/B]

Exactly what I had in mind, lol. The 2 best out of the first 6 losers will move on to the second round. This will most likely be based off of the smallest difference of the judges votes in the 1st round...basically, whoever 2 lose in rd.1 with the closest votes, moves on.
😄
Well, I had an idea that I was planning to implement in my tournament that may help in this one. I was going to use a point system.
Win = 3
Loss = 1
Winning by Unanimous decision = +1
Losing by Unanimous decision = -1
Popular Vote (Poll which has no bearing on the outcome of the fight) +1
Using this point system a victory could be worth up to 5 points and and a losing team could still have a chance to earn 2 points and advance to round 2. (It was a bit more in depth in the tounrey I'm drafting up, but I hope you get the idea).

Interesting, but there's still the chance that too many "losers" would have the same score.
I'd thought about that. If it comes down to that we'll use the team with the best margin from the popular vote. The popular vote won't effect the outcome of the bout, but it will effect if a losing team moves on or not.

Funny, most of the people I thought were going to get chosen didnt. Odd as they seemed so "right" for this tournament and I would have chosen them if I had not chosen Sabertooth (powers), Colossus (body), and Black Panterh (arm bar FTW) 😈
Oops! 😮

oh, and i like scoob's bracketology. how exactly WILL the first rd match-ups be decided, btw? anyone have any idea if goob is gonna try and seed people, or random draw, or what?
Maybe give everyone a number and PM someone the numbers and have them match them up.
Or random draw from a hat.
I personally think it should be randm draw though.

Problem is does everyone want to know their seeds, or not? like it's been said, with brackets, everyone would know who they might possibly be facing in the next rounds and work a strategy or something -- I mean, both would know though.

I'd rather know....if not after the first round (if I make it that far) I'd have to make strategies for EVERY team that made it 😐
