Yes, it's not guns. It's people. What else would be taken away for our own good?

Stop saying that. You're making me paranoid. 😱

People here will never give up their guns, it's part of the history. Many people are hunters and collectors. Many are in the secret militia.

We also have a legal right to own fire arms.

The NRA says, 'Guns don't kill people. People do'. But I think the gun helps. - Eddie Izzard

Yep, that's why it will never happen. If the government steps in the people will rebel...Big time!

No it's people with guns. Guns serve no other purpose but to kill. Thats all they do and all they are ment to do , we can lvie just fine without them.

And we'll probably use guns. How's that for poetic justice!

But obviously some level of control is needed on the sale of guns. We have that so the real problem is their sale on the black market which is much harder to control.

That's the problem, there will always be a black market. People know that. The criminals will still have their guns.

So yea, I was actually considering applying to that school.

For the next few years it'll probably be the safest campus in the US and the tuition will be down too.

Gun abolishment could be moved in gradually over time.

Actually, antique firearms can serve as collectors items. (my uncle is a collector, and I plan on collecting some as well.)

Discussion forum...thread about shootings. Seems apposite.

On a more general note, I think it's demented logic to assert that just because some determined individuals can get a gun, everyone might as well be able to have one.

When having a gun is a crime, only criminals will be using guns.

I agree, but those aren't my reasons.

So if someone decides to collect bombs, that makes them good too?

many people own old artillary munitions shells (discharged). why should it be illegal for someone to own an empty casing? i really dont see the comparrison at all.

[edit to fix english grammer]

When has it been legal to collect bombs?

They are 2 things created only for killing. If you advocate one as being usefull because it can be collected. Then you have to allow for the second as well.

Never, and that should get the point across.
